Great place to stay if visiting Technical University Graz
I had chosen this hotel because of its proximity to the Technical University Graz, which is within easy walking distance. The neighborhood is a bit ... sleepy - I arrived on a Monday, and it seemed like nobody was out on the streets and the restaurants were nearly all closed. However, the same building houses a supermarket, which is convenient.
This being an Ibis, I had expected tiny rooms - instead, the room seemed large, had a balcony (okay, facing a parking lot), and had a full-size bathroom, ... beyond what I expected. Everything was clean, modern, bright, in good repair. Big writing desk, sufficient number of outlets and good WiFi (once you find the sticker with the access information or ask at the desk). The air conditioner worked well (if there would have been any noise from the parking lot, the humming of the air conditioner would have covered it - I didn't hear anything), and combined with the blackout curtains, I had a good night sleep.
Slightly annoying: the bathroom light is on a motion sensor, so you cannot switch it off when you want to, it just stays on for quite a while, and the air conditioner immediately stops when opening the balcony door (okay, makes sense, but unexpected ...).
Breakfast was nice - a little crowded because a large tour group, but items were replenished regularly. Overall, a comfortable, nice stay.

No more. Horrible and not safe for women
We arrived late and under pouring rain, I was so tired I wasn't able even to put the right pin of my card. I waited more than 20 min to check in because the two people in charge were out smoking a cigarette. The bed for my daughter wasn't in the room even if we asked in the email and in the notes. Neither the towels. The man at the front desk was saying that it was the room service fault, and that for this as courtesy gesture we were allowed to take in the bar whatever we need when we need it. We found this a kind gesture, but wasn't like that and then he blocked me late night saying that was one time and he didn't say that and that I would have to pay. I said it was OK he could have put it on my room. I exited two days ago from hospital and I was in my worst Accor experience ever. I had a nervous breakdown and I didn't feel safe at all, as we were 3 woman, one of 71 and one of 6 too. What is more Google didn't want to publish this review too. Good.

Excellent
I should mention that we are regular customers of the Accor chain.
We chose this hotel for its location outside the historic center, with a garage; you can go into the city with tram 6 or 16, which stops not far away.
Performance is in line with the chain, very kind staff.

Very comfortable, clean hotel.
Nice modern hotel, well situated for visiting Graz.
Room (310) was clean, modern and very spacious.
Room has a nespresso coffee machine, as well as a kettle.
There is a spacious car park, and a mini supermarket very close by.
The staff were super friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast comprised of a full continental range of cakes and pastries, as well a hot buffet.

Everything top
I booked the hotel through Accor and I made a mistake with the date. No change or cancellation possible. I then called the hotel and was helped immediately. Rebooking was done free of charge. Thanks again for that. Room was perfectly clean and equipped with everything you need. The breakfast was particularly noteworthy. It was better than many 4 star hotels. Friendliest staff at reception and service. I would definitely stay again.
