Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

The Apartment was beautifully designed and had everything we needed for our stay and in the perfect location, close to the old town and waterfront but far enough away that there was very little noise at night.
Stefanos was very helpful prior and during our stay with all the information we needed to arrive etc and also helped us with storing luggage after check out as we had a later flight, very useful.
I hope to be able to visit again.

Lovely apartment, but some issues.

This apartment has clearly been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The fittings and finishes are excellent. The kitchen and living areas, which include a private outdoor patio, are roomy and comfortable. The bathroom is also well proportioned with a great shower. The A/C units are quiet and effective. The washing machine is a bonus, although there is no dishwasher. Security is good with separate keys for the building and apartment. The area around is fairly quiet, inside it was completely silent. Location is good, just 5+ minutes walk from the Old Town area with its numerous restaurants and shops.
The issues we found are mostly to do with inadequate cleaning and maintenance. We found:
. The sofa damaged - arm rest missing.
. Numerous lights not working (we counted 9 in total)
. Bathroom not properly cleaned - mould and soap scum in shower recess and hand basin tiles.
. Outside patio needed sweeping
. Only 1 set of towels provided for our 4 night stay.
It is subjective, but we found the mattress quite firm (we were glad when the 4 nights were up). A soft mattress topper added to the existing mattress would have been very welcome.
We would also have appreciated reading/bedside lights (the one we did get to work was quite dull).
If you are arriving by car, then you need to be aware that parking in Corfu town is extremely limited. Like all streets in the town, the apartment street, and all those around it, were lined by cars on both sides. We found a vacant spot each day, but not always close to the apartment. This issue would apply to all apartments in the Corfu Town area.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Corfu and were quite happy with the apartment, but feel that it could (and should) have been better. No-one can fix the parking, but hopefully the owner attends to all the other issues.
