Nice Dining Experience

We didn't stay at the hotel but did eat at the restaurant. It's very much out of the way and in the middle of what looks like a major construction area. But they've built a new marina area with views of the River. I'm American but my girlfriend and her family are Romanian and it still seemed hard to understand the menu. It seemed to have the same items repeated on many pages. So we just ordered grilled chicken and potatoes, along with some grilled fish and mamaliga. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The only issue was that the salad had meat in it and my girlfriend's family only eats fish. So they had to send that back. Overall a nice dining experience with a great view of the Danube River.

Good views, disappointing restaurant

This place was OK. The room was fine, and had mosquito netting on the door, which is good. The view was very nice. The food from the restaurant was quite poor. It seemed like it was reheated rather than fresh. They also played loud music in the outside bar until midnight, which made it hard to get to sleep.

Very hard to categorise

The hotel is not that easy to find although I think there were some signs. Look for where the 543 ends (near Penny Market) and cross the road down towards the silos, turn right at the bottom and it is where the road stops.
A modern building with a swimming pool opposite the entrance. The no-smoking sign is ignored, not least by the owner's (I'm guessing here) family. That is typical for Romania.
The room was quite good, the wire mesh you need near the Danube was there. The sunsets are beautiful there, the view to the South also very pleasant.
The shower was something else again, some of the settings control the type and volume of music, the trick is to get the water coming from the correct set of nozzles at a decent temperature.
The unencrypted WiFi works well in the reception area but did not reach my room.
The menu offers a large range of options, many of which were unavailable. I remember that which was available as being fine.

Bellisima giornata, passata in compania dei amici, sul Danubio.

Giornata di luglio di caldo terribile. Vado ad incontrare amici che non riuscivo a vedere da piu di un anno. Dal aeroporto di Craiova, flusso di auto, leggero. Strada buona, paesaggio stupendo..arriviamo a Corabia. Proprio di fronte a supermercato Penny, ce la strada di cca 100 m, in discesa che porta al hotel Sucidava. Arriviamo....di fronte albergo si trova la piscina. Gia movimentata: musica ed intrattenimento con un piccocolo chiosco che offre gelatto rinfreschi ed snack. Comincia la nostra stupenda aventura: siamo ricevuti dallo staff del albergo che subito ci offre bevande fresche, caffe a richiesta. Posso dire molto premurosi. Poi come gia era orario di pranzo, abbiamo ordinato . Molto saporito, cibo tradizionale a scelta tra pesce ed diversi tipi di carne preparati tutto fresco, cuccinato al instante. Molto contenti, visto che erevamo in tanti, ed poteva essere difficicile accontentare tutti. Invece, appena finito pranzo, siamo stati invitati ad una crociera di cca un oretta, sul Danubio, dove il titolare, persona di grande compania ha fatto con noi un girro delle isole sul Danubio raccontando un po di storia. Giornata stupenda, con buon cibo, buon ricevimento. Da tornare ed di aproffondire, visto che qua si puo anche organizzare caccia ei cinghiali ed uccelli d'acqua.

Bien dans l'ensemble

Nous nous sommes fait une frayeur en approchant de cet hôtel, en effet, il est caché derrière des silos à grain: on peut rêver mieux comme environnement ! Mais, une fois arrivés, nous avons pu profiter d'une vue magnifique sur le Danube. Le service est agréable, la chambre spacieuse, le parking facile et nous avons profité du wifi. Par contre, le restaurant vaut surtout pour la gentillesse du service et pour sa vue. Nous n'avons pas apprécié que l'on refuse de nous servir le petit-déjeuner même simplifié (café, pain, beurre, confiture), un peu avant 7h30, heure officielle où arrive le cuisinier, alors que nous avions un avion à prendre à Bucarest!
