Great value, location, comfort and service

I have stayed at Fana Hotel several times. Every room has been clean and comfortable and staff is always responsive to my needs. The pool and bar area is an added bonus, but I would stay here even without it. The price for the area is also exceptional. It is well located close to the corniche des almadies and plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

Poor

Inn in its juice! Correct rooms others dodgy with old mattresses. Poor breakfast. Friendly staff but director a little too opportunistic with customers like me hosted by Air Senegal for lack of Flights.

Good place to stay

Spent 5 nights at Fana Hotel while attending a conference. Good communication following booking and they arranged a driver to collect me at the airport who was waiting when I arrived. The hotel is nicely laid out with areas to sit. WiFi was generally good although signal fluctuated a bit. The gardens are nice although the pool was empty due to some maintenance. Nice bar / restaurant area. Breakfast is charged as extra but is good with plenty of choice - coffee, tea, juices, pastries, bread, fruit and eggs cooked to order. Ordered dinner and the food was good and meal very large. All staff were friendly and helpful. Good location for the conference I was attending at King Fahd Hotel as I could walk in 15 minutes. There is a convenience store and other restaurants nearby. Taxis available outside the hotel. All in all, very happy with my stay here.

Small but nice hotel, good service, English speaking and super food.

Small hotel with swimming pool, nice seating outside under the palm trees, beautiful smaal garden friendly and helpful staff, clean, location in a good environment, easy to reach not far from airport.

Overpriced and substandard accommodation

The main part of the hotel is pleasant with a little pool set within a garden and the bar and dining area. But some parts of the hotel are too dilapidated and just a mess, or under reconstruction and repair. The part where our first room was situated felt more like a hangar than a hotel and the room to my horror had no openable windows. We changed rooms to one overlooking the garden. But my original choice of accommodation was unclear from the Booking.com website and the photos didn't match what we were shown. As a result I felt considerably overcharged but didn't feel up to the whole issue of explaining and renegotiation due to circumstances at that moment. The staff were generally pleasant but the place was overpriced for what was on offer.
