Excellent Customer Service Experience with Melissa G

Do not recommend

Rooms are ridiculously tiny. So hard for two people to move around just to access your luggage. Tiny bathrooms No refrigerator! Expected so much more from a downtown Hilton - paid way too much for two nights. No shuttle to the airport and no shuttle to/ from Alaska railroad train is loud all day and night - Don’t recommend !

Motel-like hotel, but you get what you pay for

This is a hotel 10-15 min away from the center without much else around it. But on the bright side this means there is not much noise.
The room and linen were clean themselves but my room had a musty smell, especially the bathroom. I guess this was because of poor ventilation. When I entered it also smelled like cigarette, so I kept my window open the whole time (I was lucky to have good weather when I visited).
The hotel does not have elevator so if you have a room on the third floor you will need to carry your luggage int he stairs. The breakfast is included but it is a bit worse than Comfort Inn style. Luckily there is an excellent breakfast place 10 min away (Snow City Cafe).
If you want a cheap place to stay and you are not planning to spend too much time int he room, this is an acceptable solution.

Stayed on night, never again

We stayed in this “boutique” hotel as it calls itself after flying 9.5 hours to get to Alaska. We pulled up to the hotel and couldn’t believe how bad it looked. My wife wanted to go somewhere else. I went in and the girl at check-in who was very nice let me look at the room before doing anything else. This place looks like it was more of a boarding house where somehow they shoe horned in a bathroom. There were no chairs to sit in because the room was too small. The bathroom was so small the sink was only about 18 inches wide, no place to set any of your things. The tub had mold on it where it met the floor and wall. We were dead tired and so was the room. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Great!

The hotel overall is great. Rooms are small and cozy with a tree paint in the wall that gave it a special look. Because it is located in the far end of downtown is perfect to walk around, away from the busiest areas but close enough to everywhere you need to go. There is no elevator but unless you have awful bad knees there is no need for it. The staff was amazingly friendly.
This hotel was a last minute reservation due to an insecure and horrible Airbnb in which we couldn't stay more that 5 minutes. We first booked one night and arrived almost at 11pm. It was so good that we extended our stay. We returned for a second stay at the end of the week. With that in mind we stayed on three different rooms and we love d them. The only thing that I can complain is that there's been an increase of temperature this summer in Alaska (not their fault obviously) and the last room we stayed was too hot even with the fans on.
Definetly will stay here if we come back to Alaska.
