Milwaukee fav!
My go-to whenever I visit Milwaukee! Beautiful 1920s historic building with deco, marble floored lobby, elegant restaurant on ground level, rooms are clean, comfortable and have kitchenettes. Location is wonderful - steps to Juneau Park, the paved walkways take you down to the lakefront & Art Museum. Downtown is around the corner. Easily reach the Eastside or south side for great restaurants, bars and parks.
Park your car with them - it's worth the extra fee as street parking can be difficult in the area depending on season.
Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Loved it
Staff was 100%. All meals and drinks at The Knick were a 10. Location was super for us. We love to walk so used Lake Park trails to Art Museum and lakefront trails up the way to the beach. We walked to downtown multiple times. Kroger Metro Market 4 short block to west. Kitchen with stove, larger small fridge/freezer, sink, soap, utensils, dishes, mugs, glasses, pans, towels, toaster (!), coffeemaker. Bed was Super comfortable with 4 pillow on King bed. Plus, Extra pillow and blanket in closet. . AC in window was a bit noisy for me, but husband was ok with it. Every unit is different. We had two closets which we loved...pulled a chair over in one by the bathroom and staged bathroom stuff from there...along with luggage rack and suitcase. My hubby had his suitcase by his side of the bed on the ironing board! Kitchen had table and 2 chairs. I had a bedside comfy chair. Our friends had a counter to the side of kitchen with high seats, another had a desk and chair in an alcove with only 1 closet. Water comes out Hot right away and water pressure great. Room was super quiet, even though we were right around from the elevator alcove. Almost no waiting for elevator. Many of the units are rented/owned so not a lot of in and out by them.
Another restaurant/bar and a downstairs type bar around the corner. The HOP is an on/off trolly and the closest stop is 2 short blocks north at Astor and Ogden St. Free rides till 12 am , most nights. Comes every 15-20 min...takes you downtown, 3rd Ward, Milwaukee Market (nice!), so many places...and on off anytime to go look at something. Downtown architecture is incredible...Fun trip,

Still a fine hotel
The Knickerbocker was a high end hotel when it first opened 100? years ago and still retains the quality architecture and materials while being well maintained. Our reasonably priced room was actually a suite with a full kitchen where we made our own breakfast. Parking is right next door for $28. We liked having a restaurant right there after a long day’s drive. The location among walking paths, stately old homes, museums and waterfront was perfect for some exercise before the 10 min drive to the ferry.

Great old world hotel - Will return
We loved this old world hotel. The food was awesome, the service was excellent. The rooms were very quaint and very clean. It was quiet and the staff was very helpful. We loved the location, it was in easy walking distance of everything we enjoy.

Beautiful classic building, large apartment, great adjoining restaurant with affordable prices. The floor in our unit was dusty. The shampoo dispenser was empty.
