Good Location

We had a one-night stay here as we were going to see Diversity at the Opera House. The hotel is very quirky as previous people have said and we particularly liked all the old telephones and typewriters etc in the reception area. The lounge was nice with lots of random quirky furniture. Our room was large and had a big bay window which overlooked the Duke Pub opposite. I imagine in the Summertime it could get quite noisy when people sit outside, especially as they have live music, but we found it OK during our stay. We enjoyed our stay because the hotel is in a great location just off the front so offers easy access everywhere, we could even see the sea from our bedroom window. My only problem was that there doesn’t appear to be anyone on site so if you encounter any problems there is no one there to deal with them. We found this on check out when we were about to leave as there were people stood outside and literally banging on the front door. We waited a while because we didn’t know who they were or what to do. This persisted a fair while until a woman came into the building accompanied by three men. She moaned at us and said we could have let her in. I reminded her that she should have had a key and I did not feel it appropriate for me to just let any random person into a property I had nothing to do with. Had someone been on site they could have dealt with this. We dropped our cases off into our car which was parked at Bank Street Car Park and when we walked back past the hotel. The extremely rude woman was stood outside with her case and then proceeded to have another go at us because we didn’t let her in. Again, I told her she should have had a key whereupon she said she did have a key but it didn’t work. I have no idea who the three random men were or what happened to them. All very strange and hassle we could have done without to be honest. I would stay here again because of the price and location, but I would worry if something happened like we lost our key or the like what we would have done or who to contact.

Hotel rouge

Hotel rouge is one of those unexpected little places we booked 2 extra nights in Blackpool and chose this hotel the place is beautiful the owners are so friendly and nothing is to much for them the rooms are so nice and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in if your thinking of staying here do it its so worth it

Fantastic location, lovely staff, the owner Michael is really lovely, friendly and helpful. Great decor in room.

Fantastic stay at this lovely hotel, My Mum and I just got home from a lovely 3 night stay. The hotel is close to Winter Gardens where we had booked to see the dancing. The hotel is extremely well located for everything you need to see and do in Blackpool, will be our number 1 choice every time we go in the future. The staff, especially the owner Michael is so lovely, friendly and helpful. Definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends.
