Absolutely a great hotel with perfect location and easy proximity to everything you want to explore in Liverpool! Absolutely amazing staff! A big thanks to the team at the reception!

Room was attractive but not being able to adjust the temperature lower was frustrating. Weird having to move from toilet to separate bathroom to wash hands.

Great central location, breakfast was lovely with everything from continental to a full English. The swimming pool and gym are well maintained and fully equipped.
Staff really helpful.

Room was incredibly clean, staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The amenities were top class - pool, sauna and gym were very well kept. Location is brilliant. Highly recommend!

Booking cancelled during check-in over conflicting information

I arrived at Novotel Liverpool Centre with my 12-year-old daughter expecting a straightforward check-in. Instead, our booking was cancelled and we were left needing alternative accommodation after I politely questioned conflicting breakfast information.
A sign inside the hotel stated that breakfast ended at 10:00 am, while the receptionist gave us a different time. When I pointed out the discrepancy, the conversation became unnecessarily argumentative.
The Duty Manager was called over, but instead of resolving or de-escalating such a minor issue, the receptionist told him to cancel our booking. He agreed.
Throughout the interaction, I remained calm and polite. I did not raise my voice, swear, threaten anybody or behave aggressively. I found it astonishing that a trivial disagreement about the hotel’s own information resulted in a father and his 12-year-old daughter being refused accommodation.
This could have been resolved in seconds with basic customer service and sensible management. Instead, we experienced a complete lack of hospitality, judgment and leadership. Based on how we were treated during check-in, I could not recommend this hotel.
