But there were only limited kitchen supplies, eg. exactly 2 of everything, and no teaspoons. No welcome pack of tea or coffee, salt & pepper, etc. We did not receive any housekeeping at all, even though we stayed 7 nights. We did appreciate the air conditioning which was useful in the recent hot weather.
Even though a lift is advertised, there was no mention that it was still necessary to use stairs to reach our room.

Extremely disappointing – booking cancelled and wrongly recorded as our cancellation
After our booking had been confirmed, we were contacted and told that the price of the booking should have been higher and that the booking was being cancelled. This was not a cancellation requested by us. We had absolutely no reason to cancel and had made the booking in good faith at the price offered.
What makes the situation even more unacceptable is that the cancellation has apparently been recorded as a cancellation request made by us. This is completely untrue. We did not request the cancellation.
This has had further consequences because, as a result of the cancellation being recorded this way, I am now unable to leave a review on Hotels.com. It feels incredibly unfair that the way the cancellation has been recorded effectively prevents me from giving an honest account of our experience.
I also paid using Hotels.com vouchers, which has created another problem because I am now unable to use that voucher value as I intended. We are left dealing with the inconvenience and financial consequences of a situation that was not caused by us.
Mistakes with pricing can happen, but how a company deals with those mistakes says a great deal about its customer service. Cancelling a confirmed booking because the property believes it should have charged more, and then recording the cancellation as though it was requested by the customer, is extremely disappointing.
This was supposed to be a special trip with our daughter. Instead, we have been left stressed, inconvenienced and feeling completely let down.
I would strongly urge COVE to review how this situation was handled and, in particular, to correct the record regarding who actually requested the cancellation.
