It is worth repeating
We had an overnight stay with dinner and brunch in this castle. The room is nice and spacious, the food was very tasty. The choice for us as vegetarians was a bit limited, but the food was extremely tasty. Brunch the next morning was also super. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful domain, quiet location, beautiful walking and cycling routes. Rooms (apartment)
Nice and neat, with refrigerator. Kitchen however closed on Tuesday, but good alternative found by helpful and super friendly hostess.

Castle is quiet and nicely situated, but not far from Damme/Bruges and the coast.
Pleasant stay, nice A la carte eaten on the terrace, very friendly... comfortable bed and breakfast is served at the table (choice of eggs).
Thanks for the pleasant cozy overnight stay and the good food, beautiful walks that start ah castle.

Haunted castle
Beautiful location, but sorry about the experience (game menu) . Pheasant was completely dried out, the stew was eatable, but also no more or nothing less. Inside it was freezing cold and the castle doors were wide open, where the small room could of course not warm up. From the larger room where the doors were also wide open loud (hard rock) music, apparently also included in the wild menu . Of the cleanliness we are certainly not going to speak, crumbs on the floor, dead spiders and dusty windowsills.
Uncoated tablecloths It seemed to me rather like a haunted castle , and this was an eerie experience. We're not coming back here.

Poor serice
(I will also place these at 'castle ryckeveld' because is the same thing )
We were here with social deal and it really wasn't what was promised in the deal.
- First of all there is the environment, they are talking about a magical environment, but the magic was far from there. There are several rooms, in one there was a party, in another it was the restaurant and we were in a third, literally stuck together. How many tables can you get stuck in a room where there are bad acoustics, by the way?
- The food, well that was ok but then also just ok. We did go home hungry and found it even with social deal pricey for whatever it was.
- the Service, the students/flexis were friendly and helpful, but the organization. Where shall I start? As a social deal, we all had the same menu. Regardless of hour of arrival, first one table got appetizer then the other, crisscrossed. Then came the soup and this was in a completely different order, so that the table that first got its starter and then the soup last had to wait a very long time between the two courses and a different table then had a very short time between the two courses. Alez men a little bit of organization!!
My plate had a little less than the other guests, first I had to wait a long time before someone else visited our table, I then got very neat and very quickly which was short (but an excuse would have been in order of course). And then dessert had to come. I don't know if it's normal, but the table next to us arrived 1h30 after us and had their dessert faster, how can this be??
The staff was busy with the other two rooms, but didn't finish, and when they finally got there they got orders to clear tables so that other guests could take their seats....and we just wait and wait.... Now they were just carrying out orders...; and were very friendly and have apologized, while they were carrying out orders from their supervisor (manager?), when we had to pay he did not come himself, and passed the payment machine to one of the employees.
Now it can always run in the 100, but fill 3 rooms, while you don't organize yourself well? Simple excuses would have been appropriate and made this report superfluous.
