Our go to hotel in cuenca

We live in vilcabamba and visit Cuenca often. We have stayed in the Villa Emilia at least 10 times over the years. Well appointed rooms, a friendly staff and breakfast to order every time. Occasionally we try another hotel, but they never quite measure up.
We also love the location, 2 blocks from two different shopping areas, walking distance to half a dozen restaurants, and less than a 10 minute walk from Calle Larga, the entertainment district.
Warning, reserve early, because they often are full. There is a reason for that.

Exceptional wonderful and great location

Quiet location, worth the price

Well located in a quiet neighbourhood, may be 7 minutes to walk to the old town across the river. By taxi max 10 minutes to the bus terminal. Nice big room, all clean and comfortable. Strong wifi, pleasant service. You can leave your baggage with them. Traditional breakfast with eggs, fruits and warm bread. Recommended place, would stay again.

Nice bed and breakfast

I stayed for one night. Nice and clean bedroom and bathroom. Cable tv, free wifi, free parking, breakfast included (fruit + yogurt, hot milk or coffee, fruit juice, hot bread with jam, eggs). Great staff. Good location.
I definitely recommend this hostel.

I love this hotel, it makes visiting Cuenca special

My second time in Villia Emilia Hostel, and im very happy to see it continues to offer a beautiful experience to its visiters. Very friendly staff and attentive to our needs. We stayed there for 6 nights and it felt like it was our home. We,ve compared other hotels, but this hotel has the best price/quality in Cuenca. We loved the breakfasts every morning, very fresh ingredients. I recommand it to business travellers, foreigners, and people looking for a tranquil calm place to stay, but at the same time close to restuarants, malls, etc. Its also close walk to the historical center of Cuenca. The hotel is in a very safe part of the city, at night we would walk to dinner and back to hotel. Next time we,re in Cuenca we will diffently go straight to Villa Emilia.
