Great welcome and ample space, with some notes on maintenance
We stayed at this B&B for a weekend on Mount Etna with a group of 5 families. The strength of the structure is definitely the size: being a large group with children from 3 to 10 years, we loved the fact that the entire house was reserved exclusively for us, allowing us to live the stay in total freedom.
Note of credit to the lady who hosted us. She was extremely courteous and helpful, explaining every detail of the house and making us find the fireplace lit, a gesture that made the atmosphere immediately warm and familiar.
The house is very spacious, but the style is decidedly spartan and characterized by an overload of personal items (knickknacks, books, hats and even stuffed animals) that, in addition to visually narrowing the spaces, tend to accumulate dust.
While we found the rooms and bathrooms clean and tidy, the common area would need more care: the decor is a bit uneven and, in particular, we noticed that the textiles (sofa covers and pillows) would need more frequent washing to ensure a feeling of greater hygiene.
In summary:
A great solution for large groups looking for independence and a warm welcome a stone's throw from the volcano, as long as you have a bit of adaptive spirit regarding the order and modernity of the common furnishings.

Terrible experience
Experience absolutely not to be redone... room on the ground floor, wake up obviously by those who have breakfast with glass door obscured only by a drab curtain, obviously no privacy, people you practically have in the room... dark room, not ventilated, mold in the bathroom everywhere, plastic panels glued to the ceiling to hide mold, a single small bathroom window that gives on a light well that I think was a laundry, the stench of unimaginable rise... not to mention the owner, rude, rude, and annoyed by the presence of children in a clear way... available to all guests 1 single refrigerator with non-existent gaskets that remained continuously open, certainly by mistake and not on purpose someone will have left it open and the lady reprimanded each of us at check out, without even giving the good morning... reprimands for the children who played in the garden (they are children run and make noise)... reprimands because we had prepared sandwiches on the table (still we had not finished... our things were still there) and there were crumbs, reprimands because my daughter could not touch anything, breathing down my neck always .. what remains of this holiday? a certainty... that we will definitely never return... and that maybe in prison the seconds are more affable... only positive note the beautiful outdoor space, quiet but where unfortunately pigeon shits spare nothing even the games for children that are covered by it...

Terrible experience

Unfortunately, my experience at this B&B was terrible. Let's start by saying the place isn't the best. There are many negative aspects that I must stress.
First of all, there is only one refrigerator for all guests, which is totally unacceptable. In a B&B there should be at least one refrigerator for each room, or at least a more adequate solution.
The person running the B&B is extremely oppressive. I had the unpleasant feeling of being constantly watched, as if the mistress was always spying when I did certain things. This made the stay really unpleasant.
Another downside concerns the use of the air conditioner. We've been told we can't keep it on when we're not in the room. This is an absurd rule, considering that we paid to use all the services without such ridiculous restrictions.
In addition, there are a myriad of rules posted everywhere in the room, rules I have never seen in any other hotel or B&B I have visited, and I have visited several. This makes the experience even more stressful and unpleasant.
Then, there was also a problem with the coffee. On the regulations it was not specified that you had to pay, it was only indicated that there was a coffee machine in the living room. Finding out only after the coffee was paid was really unpleasant and unprofessional.
A further problem was with the shower: the water alternated continuously between hot and cold, often resulting colder than hot. The mistress told me I had to wait for the hot water to come. I waited and the hot water came, but then it came back cold again. This was extremely frustrating and uncomfortable.
In summary, this place is bad, and the mistress too. Absolutely no Recommendation to stay here.

Wonderful place and wonderful hostess
We booked a family stay (we are of Sicilian descent and wanted to visit our grandparent's' hometown). Our group was 13 people for 4 nights and we were very happy with the accommodations and with our hostess, Annamaria. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The bathrooms were great. The property is beautiful and convenient to Etna, Catania and Taormina.
We asked Annamaria to cook us dinner and give us a cooking class of traditional Sicilian dishes and she was happy to do so. She also helped us with transportation during our stay - she got us a better deal than we could find online.
She is a gracious host and she made us feel very welcome in her home. We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Sicily.

Not recommended
While the rooms themselves were decently clean, the bathroom was a disaster - shower, sink very dirty.
The hosts are not very kind and welcoming - we were asked to pay for our stay upon arrival because "well, who will pay?"
We were told originally that we could check out at 11, but by 10:15, we were being told to leave.

Gentile signora Victoria le volevamo ricordare la sequenza del vostro soggiorno nella nostra struttura.
Lei faceva parte di un gruppo di musicisti e le vostre camere erano state prenotate per una notte a vostro nome per cui era normale chiedere il vostro documento e il pagamento. Ci avete risposto che voi non dovevate pagare per cui ci sembra più che legittima la nostra domanda " e allora chi paga?"
Ci avete spiegato che doveva pagare il presidente dell'associazione musicale per cui avreste suonato che peraltro non era con voi. Contattato da voi telefonicamente ci ha confermato che sarebbe venuto a pagare lui il conto e vi abbiamo accompagnato subito nelle vostre camere.
Il vostro gruppo ha occupato tutte le camere della villa ,tre con il bagno privato in camera e tre con il bagno in comune ma in uso solo a voi componenti del gruppo. Il bagno vi è stato consegnato pulito e disinfettato e quindi se lei lo ha trovato sporco è dovuto alla mancanza di rispetto dei suoi colleghi. Le consigliamo per la prossima volta di farsi assegnare una camera con bagno privato perchè non siamo stati noi ad assegnare le camere.
Il check out normalmente è alle 10 e 30 e vi avevamo concesso di restare fino alle 11:00
ma pochè alle 10:50 eravate ancora seduti ai tavoli della colazione vi abbiamo detto che potevate restare ai tavoli o nel salone finchè volevate e che potevate anche usare il bagno, ma se cortesemente per le 11:00 potevate uscire i bagagli dalle camere perchè alle 12:00 avevamo il chek in di altri ospiti e trattandosi di sei camere avevamo difficoltà ad approntarle in così breve tempo.
Dal tenore della sua recensione ci siamo resi conto che non sapeva o le è
sfuggito qualche particolare.
Le auguriamo soggiorni migliori informandosi prima degli accordi fatti per il suo soggiorno e la salutiamo .
