Mid priced hotel meets our needs

This hotel seems to polarise its clients, the review ratings swing from exceedingly poor to good. Our two night stay met our expectations with the buffet breakfast being a highlight. Our room was clean and compact in the European way. The shower cubicle was too small for the larger of us but we still could shower. The aircon worked very well once we figured out the controls. The location opposite the train terminal was perfect for our purposes. The immediate surroundings are at the lower economic end but we did not witness any anti social behaviour.
There many tourist attractions within a solid walk of the hotel and the train station is one of the better ones in Europe for services, shopping and finding your train.

Bad.

Shit! The receptionist took 3 hours to check in everyone in the group at dawn. We waited sitting on the floor for 3 hours, we entered the room it was 4 in the morning! Also, the hotel is not 4 stars nor far away!
Do not recommend!

It is neither a 4-star hotel nor suitable for groups.

My group and I arrived at midnight to check-in (a time when the front desk is usually quiet). Given the hour, we were tired and expected a quick, efficient process, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Check-in wasn't completed until 3:30 a.m.; the attendant seemed lost and was not at all friendly (His name was Lemissa, and we also had an unpleasant situation with Fátima).
Furthermore, three pairs from our group were assigned separate hotels. To top it off, at checkout, they had lost some of our reservations, which caused discomfort for everyone in the group.
This hotel is rated as 4 stars, but I believe that’s just so they can collect the tourism tax, because it isn't a 4-star hotel.
But I would also like to thank Carmen, who surprised us by being incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive in resolving our issues.

Never a 4 Star Hotel. Think Twice To Stay!

This is NEVER a 4 Star hotel!
To start this review i like to share the experience that we (me and my group) had to check-in: It as almost midnight (00:00) when we arrived, a group of 24 people who were tired after traveling hours and just wanted to get to their rooms. The man who was attending on the night shift was rude and had no compassion for the situation AND it took 3 HOURS to make 12 check ins. 3 HOURS. He didn’t even offered water. LEMISSA was his name, and the way the he treated me and my friends I’ll never forget.
Another point was de tax for stay of 8 euros per day because the hotel supposedly is a 4 Star Hotel. (Personally felt scamed)
The hotel is tiny, the rooms are small, the bathrooms are even smaller and the walls are so thin that you could hear everything that passed through the hallway.
Another point is the breakfast who were (in kind words) a bit cheap for the grand 4 starts that the hotel holds.
I don’t recomend this to anybody! It’s very close to Termini and it’s the only good thing that it has.
ALL THO the bad experience we had, an angel took place by the morning shift. Carmen is her name and she was a gentil kinded heart who helped us and make us feel welcome.

ESCAPE

We arrived at dawn, coming from Florence. We were very tired and in a group of 22 friends. At the reception we were treated by a gentleman named Lemissa, who immediately began to make several complaints, as if it was a favor to check in. He asked why we didn't arrive sooner, where we came from, why we took so long. We waited for him to check in, while he complained that he was alone and the whole process would take time. We've waited 3 hours, 3 endless hours to check in everyone. Tired, hungry, thirsty, without internet, sitting on the floor, we waited for 3h, we only went to the room when it was 4am. The next day I was treated at the reception by Carmen, an incredible human being, who helped me with everything that was possible. Fatima is also very helpful and helped me a lot. The rooms are ok, weak central air conditioning, tiny bath box, slow lift. Breakfast is reasonable, few options. The boy who works at the cafe is fantastic, very polite and friendly. Ah and they say the hotel is 4 stars to charge a higher tourist fee, absurd, no more than 2 stars. Do not recommend!
