Had a great stay at the Old Quarter Hotel.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and the location is great for exploring Amsterdam.
We enjoyed a drink in the bar at the end of the day.

Great location for the train station. Easy to see/find.
Very basic room but clean and does the job. Comfy bed. Im a bit conflicted on how I feel about it! Staff seemed nice.
Very thin walls! Very steep stairs (usual for Amsterdam) You could hear every word said as people came up the stairs! However we never heard any street noise but no view and Very dark room as we were in a room on the "inside" not street side. If you lose a key card you'll be fined 20€.
One small towel each provided. No kettle.
If you walk just down the street the coffee shop called Sandwich shop Amsterdam was lovely for breakfast.
They do a buffet in the hotel but we didnt try it.

The hotel’s highlights are the canal view and being so close to the train station.
Also, if you want to eat/drink there’s a restaurant at the lobby.
One point to improve is having bottles of water in the room.

Very friendly staff. Can't beat the location. Breakfast was well organised and efficient. The four single bed room was super handy for a larger group.
Some negatives that lose a star, but shouldn't put you off staying. Some decor needs updating. Room fan was literally falling apart. The extremely steep stairs could use another hand railing. And because you're in the middle of the action, morning and late night noise can be an issue. We're heavy sleepers, so modest impact only.
I would stay again.

Our stay was a 3 person group road tripping through Europe. This little spot was in the snack middle of the tourist hot spot. It was lovely leaving the room and being in the middle of the action. The room was comfortable for our needs, the bathroom was a great little compact size and the beds were comfortable as well as the room being clean. House keeping came in later in the day which we liked, so we could sleep in and still get fresh towel. Since the hotel was so central and our room was road facing we knew it was gonna be a bit louder especially with the windows open for a cold night breeze, so we brought EAR PLUGS. We had a lot of fun in this spot the street is lively and for the price it was spot on! Thanks for the great memories and experience.
