Clean room and hotel. Lovely pool. Could walk to almost everything we wanted to do and loads of places to eat nearby.

Dog pee and dog fecal matter on street outside. Walking for food might be a challenge - La Rambla is a construction zone

Dirty street outside. Dogs pee everywhere. Street is not being cleaned.

I had stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and remembered it being amazing. I returned, and was sadly disappointed. The staff are excellent. The property has not been maintained. Rooms have broken cabinetry. Our room for the first 3 days had a sewer gas smell. When we informed the staff, they sprayed air freshener. The bad smell is linked to some plumbing issue they are facing, but they cannot seem to fix it.
On our return trip back, the a/c did not work in our room. When we notified the staff at 3 pm in the afternoon, they stated that the technician had left for the day and will not return till the next mornin. We were give a fan. Mind you this is Summer in Spain. The next day, the technician apparently came at 7 am and they did not want to wake us, so they could not repair the a/c. We were given an alternate room at least. No discounts. No comped night. I hope the manager of the hotel reads this and makes changes. The location of the property is great. Needs a revamp.

Overall nice stay

Overall very pleasant stay,
Great location down side road,
Pleasant staff,
Hotel rooms dated ours 310 the floor had gaps in the boarding , I found the beds comfortable, wife found them a bit firm,
No coffee or tea making facilities, but was free coffee available in the lounge area,
Room reasonable clean we put the towels out to be changed but these were just folded back up and not changed we only new this as the one towel had a distinct stain, not ideal for a 3 night stay,
Breakfast was continental with decent selection of bread cheese ham cereal fruit bacon and scrambled egg , fruit juice and hot drinks
Overall we would come back just a few little areas thst need attention

Super convenient

Read some worrying reviews about this hotel, think they must have been at a different hotel. Location is really convenient for visiting all parts of Barcelona. Lovely little pool for cooling down at end of the day. Comfy beds, nice bathroom, decent air conditioning, friendly staff. Felt completely safe with 24 hr reception and cctv everywhere. What's not to like?
