Amazing stay!
Waw! What an amazing stay we had at Blooming Zanzibar! We stayed here with a group of 13 people and got a great service. Ellen and here team were so kind, helpfull and made us feel like home. They gave advise about restaurants and activities, arranged transport and introduced us to the wonderful project of Africa More. We had a fantastic stay, had lovely breakfast and enjoyed the bbq and Masaai performance. The pool is a welcome refreshment and the coctails are delicious. Our rooms were clean, cool and with all the comfort we needed. We didn't wanted to leave. Thank you so much for everything!

Lovely place to stay in Jambiani
I enjoyed my stay at Blooming Zanzibar and would happily go back. The location is very beautiful with a warm pool surrounded by flowers and then by the guest rooms and restaurant. In addition, you know you are also supporting a great organization, More Africa. I was able to walk to nearby sites such as Kuza Cave and took a longer walk all the way along Jambinani, alternating between beach and road (which has some places to eat and many places selling art and such). I would definitely recommend the village tour as a very interesting way to learn about local life. Regarding the air conditioning which other reviewers mentioned, while many rooms now have it, I did intentionally choose to stay in a room without AC. It was definitely stuffy but I managed ok with the ceiling fan and did get a good sleep. Others may prefer the AC which is an option.

Simply incredible!
From the moment we arrived at Blooming Zanzibar, we felt truly welcomed. Ellen and her staff are extraordinarily friendly and caring, with a personal touch that makes you relax instantly.
The rooms are beautiful: spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. Everything you might need is provided — from comfortable beds to modern amenities — making the stay extremely comfortable.
The food was simply amazing. Every meal was prepared with fresh, local ingredients, full of flavor and variety. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, each dish was a highlight.
A particularly special part of my stay was visiting More Africa, the school next door. It’s a real eye-opener to see the incredible work Ellen and her colleagues are doing there. Their dedication and passion are inspiring, and it adds so much meaning to the whole experience, giving you the chance to connect positively with the local community.
In short: Blooming Zanzibar is a true gem in Jambiani. If you visit this part of Zanzibar, this is the place to stay — for comfort, hospitality, delicious food, and a meaningful connection to the surroundings.

Amazing experience
We had an amazing experience at Blooming Zanzibar. A warm welcome, beautiful accommodation, and lovely people. Everything the staff does, they do with heart.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, the outdoor swimming pool is great, and the dining room/bar is cozy. An absolute must, even when you’re traveling in a group.
When you get the chance, you should definitely visit the school next door, More Africa. I left a little piece of my heart right there. Ellen, you’re doing an amazing job.

Blooming Zanzibar – Comfortable stay, great food and support for a good cause
Blooming Zanzibar belongs to More Africa NGO, and the proceeds go to support their wonderful work for children with disabilities in Zanzibar. That alone makes it a special place to stay, but even without it it is highly recommended.
The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated in African style and equipped with good beds with plenty of pillows. The air conditioning works perfectly, so you can sleep well even during hot nights. Everything feels neat and tidy.
The restaurant is at least as fine. Fresh poke bowls, juicy burgers, crispy chicken wraps, well-stocked sandwiches, homemade iced tea and mouth-watering cocktails can be enjoyed here. Everything is prepared with care, tastes great and is very affordable. The bar staff are super friendly and like to chat, which makes the Mood extra cozy.
In addition, across the street is a beautiful beach, with a few nice restaurants nearby. You can relax there without suffering from mass tourism, just the right balance between conviviality and tranquility.
I would definitely recommend Blooming Zanzibar if you are looking for a place where you can sleep comfortably, eat well, enjoy the surroundings and contribute to a wonderful cause.
