We booked a double room, and were pleasantly surprised with a double bed, 2 singles, and a small kitchenette (mini fridge, kettle, toaster etc...) in a large and bright room! We were also provided with a fan - useful in the heat.
The room was clean, although some signage in the bathroom was visibly mouldy. We had some issues with the TV signal, ended up being a dodgy connector to the wifi router which we had to unplug.
The staff were helpful in allowing us to check-in early, and let us leave the car parked on the premises both pre- and post-checkout.
Great value for money!

If travelling in the summer heat, consider that the rooms tend to warm up quite a bit. They asked for sensitive information via message/email, which I find a bit odd as the booking was prepaid early. Seems a bit shady.

The property is easy to reach via various buses; despite its distance from the city centre (ca 12 stops). Friendly and competent staff. A good number of dining options and a couple of supermarkets (Waitrose, Sainsbury) within ca 10-15 min walking distance. The room is small but clean and quite cozy, with a kettle, instant coffee, and tea bags. Very good option for budge travel to Oxford.

We arrived later than anticipated and the check in is only until 6pm apparently even if staff are available until 9pm. They did us a favour and checked us in, after a few emails and WhatsApp chats.
The room 8 was in the loft up the stairs. Very small and dated.
Clean but not particularly comfortable. No space to walk around the bed on one side so had to either climb over my partner or the wooden edge at the bottom end.
The bathroom was very basic. Toilet seat broken, off its hinges. Really disappointing given all of this is 4 stars AA, whatever that means. Paper thin walls so could hear a lady in the next room having a phone call.
Breakfast could be booked for cash only.
The shower had no pressure so not really working.
Wouldn’t book again.

Given the location, I thought that the price was a little high, but the accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again, if I were visiting the area.
