Stayed for one night.
The room was a decent size with bottled water, biscuits and Tea/coffee amenities.
The bathroom was very good sized. The towels were newish and the bed was comfy. Though there are a few cracked floor tiles in the bathroom it doesn't detract from the overall value for money.
Breakfast was a full English with yoghurt and fruit offered. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants.
All in all I was satisfied with the price I paid.

Filthy, stinks, vile, not 4 star

This was one of the filthiest and most disgusting hotels I’ve ever had the misfortune of staying in. As soon as I walked into the reception, I knew my room was going to be dirty. The reception area absolutely stunk of body odour, it was so strong it made me want to gag. The glass had fingerprints on and the stairs were dirty. This isn’t the first impression a customer should ever have. When I went into my room, at first glance it looked clean, that was until I opened the toilet lid and there was remnants of human faeces still in the bowl and the shower was thick with calcified dirty and grime. I went down to reception to let them know and wasn’t given a sorry or an offer of another room, which was my second red flag. Instead he said “I’ll get the cleaner” “do you have pictures” and “can I see”. Once I seen the “cleaner”, I understood why the rooms were filthy. Just a young lad, in scruffy clothes, no uniform looking like he just woke up and left his bedroom. So unprofessional. I took them both up to the room and again once they seen the poo, I didn’t get an apology just an offer to clean it, which I accepted but this was clearly an average day for them, any normal hotel staff would be mortified and they were completely unbothered. On top of that when he seen the built in grime around the shower he said “this will take longer to get off” you don’t say! That’s because it’s never been cleaned properly a day in its life. In hindsight I should’ve asked for another room, but I’d been travelling for 3 hours and had work to do and In all honesty from the smell in reception to the look of the staff I assumed all rooms would be just as vile. After work, when I went to get in the shower I noticed even more disgusting filth. Thick black pubes next to the toilet, filthy floor, hair everywhere, grime on the radiator, marks all over the walls. So I went on Deliveroo and ordered myself £40 worth of cleaning products and a pillowcase. There was no way I’d trust people who think it’s okay to leave visible poo in the toilet bowl and who can’t shower properly in the morning, to wash bedding properly. Thank god I bought a blanket so I didn’t have to get into that bed because I could only imagine the state of it. I had breakfast included in my 2 night stay and decided there and then I would not be eating here for either day. The smell of BO filling the hotel put me off and there’s no way the food hygiene standards and practices are up to par. After I gave the room a wipe down, so much dirt came up straight away that it just proved to me they’re not even trying to properly. They have no clue what theyre doing and thats what happens when you hire a young family member to do a job a professional should be doing. A hostel or Travelodge would be better than staying in squalor here. Do not spend your hard earned money here. Maybe you should get proper training about how germs can make people sick and other peoples faeces can spread viruses because you clearly do not have a clue what you’re doing. You need your 4 star rating ripped away from you and you don’t belong anywhere near hotels, customers or the hospitality industry. I have a dog and my house never gets as dirty as this or smells as bad and that’s saying something. On top of that, the TV didn’t work properly and the signal was going in and out. Who doesn’t these basic things before letting customers check into rooms? I feel sorry for whoever started this family run businesses because these young family members are dirty and scruffy and running it into the ground. I work in TV and we regularly send people to Oxford for camera training and I’ll be making sure nobody stays in this hotel again and has to suffer like I did. If I didn’t have my own blanket, slippers and flip flops I don’t know how I would’ve coped. Don’t believe this is 4 star. Stay somewhere else. They don’t deserved your money. To the hotel: learn how to wash your bodies and get a cleaner for your hotel and maybe then you can run a hotel. I’ll be seeking a full refund on Booking.com Check out my photos if you don’t believe me. If you are going to stay there in the next couple of days request room 18 because at least you know it’s been cleaned, every surface wiped and it’s sanitary. You can tell the difference as soon as you walk in, the smell is a huge contrast to the stink in the corridor.

Extremely Poor Standards – Shockingly Bad for the Price

I paid £213 for a “Superior Room” at the Remont Oxford Hotel, but what I experienced was nowhere near the standard advertised.
On arrival, the stair area had cellophane on the walls and paint stains on the carpet, which was already disappointing. My room, however, was far worse. The carpet was stained, damaged, and frayed, and there was even a used contact lens from a previous guest left on the chair — a clear sign of poor cleaning.
The extra-large double bed advertised was just 2 single beds pushed together!
The bathroom was also in a terrible state. There were cracked floor tiles, a shower screen seal that was falling apart, and a large cobweb in the doorway. The toilet was very unhygienic, with significant brown staining and limescale buildup.
For a room sold at a premium price and labelled “Superior,” this was completely unacceptable.
I am still waiting 3 months later for the 50% refund they offered!

Dreadful value

This hotel is extremely poor quality and not worth the price we paid - There was a huge tear in the net curtains, the sink did not empty for ages, the shower was stuck on boiling hot water- there were stains on the carpet, no blackout and a noisy road outside. Not even close to two star let alone four

Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. There is a main building and an annex. Main building rooms are very nice (one we stayed in ) quite modern. The annex is different. It’s appears to be an older unloved building , unclean carpets. Old glazing , dirty curtains. Dusty shelves Was a shock after first room was quite nice. We complained and were moved still within annex but to a cleaner room. Breakfast was excellent inc the dining area. So a little bit and miss can see some would give 10/10 ans some 2/10 depending on room. My advise ask for room in main building
