New Management is Great

Now this review is for Best Western Melrose at Seabrook,BW not the Comfort Inn. Many of the reviews for this location are from when the hotel was owned by another management company, who previously owned the property. Look at current reviews from the last few months. The new owner has presently remodeled and prides themselves with good service and a good cleaning staff.
In many reviews of the property, the pictures are old from the previous owners and is now with Best Western and has been remodeled extensively. It is no longer a Comfort Inn. It has changed names also.
The staff is very nice, accommodating too. The rooms are large and clean. I can't say it enough, very clean and new furniture and flooring etc.
Someone said there was no fan in the bathroom, that is incorrect. It has a vent and is always on but you can't hear it. There is no switch for it. The shower was really nice and felt wonderful actually. I had to get extra towels and that was no problem. The AC works well.
Breakfast was ok but I am vegan so there is that. They have fruit and a few other food items I could eat. Now for my husband, they have an egg omelet bar on weekends and you get to pick what you want. They had bagels and muffins and I liked the chocolate and hoped it was vegan but not sure.
The hallways were clean and the outside also.
Loved the bed and it was a king. We stayed for 4 nites. I loved the Mediterranean Cafe and a Mexican Restaurant across the street. That was so convenient. We also went to one of the bars up where the water is. They had good fry's.
NASA was close by as was the Boardwalk and so was League City. I would for sure stay again. The owner was one of the nicest management personnel I have ever met and I am not related nor work for him or the company of BW. Just a tourist.
I made the reservation with Sam on the phone. He was very helpful and nice also. Oh I didn't see one single bug, not one. Yay--

This place is disgusting

There is mold on the cieling. The indoor pool is small and the chairs have mold on them the bathrooms are gross with the tub being dirty. The rooms had no towels. The floors inside the rooms have stains on them. I have no idea where people are saying their stay was nice but this is and was a bad experience. Never again. I have pics if you want to see for yourself. The toys are molded and not clean.

run away! spend more to avoid the stress and mess here

4 major reasons to avoid this place like the plague. literally. 1) rejecting masks during the covid-19 pandemic including the owner, receptionist, and cleaner. the receptionist actually told guests masking was voluntary, despite two signs on their front door stating it was mandatory 2) advertising that they offer breakfast, but haven’t for months 3) refusing a discount or refund when the power went out and we didn’t have heat or hot water during freezing weather. it was 40’degrees in our room. it’s not my issue that you don’t have a back-up generator, i paid for services you didn’t supply 4) dirty bathrooms and pungent smelling cleaning chemicals. see trip advisor for photos of their nasty bathtubs. if you stay here, seriously good luck.

Great place to stay

We had a group of 14 with 3 rooms that stayed for 3 nights. The owners were such great people. They really worked to make our stay great. The kids had a blast in the pool. We didn’t get to try the breakfast, because of COVID-19. But that was okay. There was a fridge and microwave in the rooms. Staff were very friendly. Will surely return here on the next trip out.

Very bad

This visit was very bad when we came in there was toilet was clogged and made us clean it left over food and the tv only had 1channel pool is small won’t come again. And for the price is wasn’t worth it
