Loved our stay
I stayed at this hotel on Fri, May 16 - Sunday, May 18 2025. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and absolutely loved our room. Let me start by saying the hospitality all around was exceptional. I had a few conversations with the front desk rep prior ro arriving, Iris and all of my conversations were friendly and professional prior to me getting there. Once I arrived, the front desk rep was Jean (male) and he continued with the professionalism that must be contagious throughout the hotel. Check in was quick and fast.
Later that night, I needed extra towels because the girls had gone to the pool and wanted shower afterwards and housekeeping was "Johnny on the spot" and delivered my towels twice with a smile. The young lady who serviced our room was overly friendly (in a good way). When she left, I felt like I had known her for years and the next day when we checked out, she was just as friendly and sent off with a nice smile and wave.
The hotel is new and very clean as well as nice.
We had 3 rooms but I was in room 226 and it was HUGE. It was close to GIGANTIC (see pics). We loved and appreciated all the space especially since I had 2 of my 10 year old granddaughters in the room with me.
Breakfast was "yummy" and my little picky eaters loved the strawberry waffles, sausage and scramble eggs. Breakfast was hot and well stocked. Hot coffee is in lobby 24/7.
I also liked that the hotel is in a secluded area. It was very peaceful and serene. Another great feature is that there is plenty of free parking. The hotel is also very close to little "mom and pop" shops of you want to venture out. A quick 2 -3 minute walk and you are taken back in time and another 5-10 minute drive and you are on Lincoln Hwy which is the main street. Everything is so gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and pleased with our stay. Let me say again, if you want a room fit for a King (Queen), ask for room 226. It's sooooooooooooooooooo spacious (check out the pics).

Brand New Option near Kitchen Kettle.
We enjoyed our stay at this new Hampton Inn. Staff are friendly & fun to chat with.
Interior decor is very sterile, feels more like Tru. Lobby is welcoming. Walking distance to Kitchen Kettle & shops.
Breakfast OK. Need some local food items .

Probably won’t
Yesterday my husband and I were trying to make a reservation at our favorite hotel at the last minute and it just wasn’t going to work this time . We recalled the new Hampton Inn just opened and thought let’s try it . We are long time Hilton Honors members so this was actually something we looked forward to . I always call the desk directly to make a specific request . I have a medical need and the call center historically can never assist with the layout of the hotel I am reserving a room at. It took at least three very specific ways of questioning the first person I spoke to , to get her to finally tell the truth about being at a call center out of the country ! Finally she agreed to connect me to the desk even though that was the number I called in the first place. Then , when I spoke to the front desk attendant , I explained why I was calling her directly . She replied “ are you a Hilton Honors Member ?” Now here’s where I thought oh good , this is where a yes means I get better service …. Right ??? Ummmmm NO! When I said yes , she replied “ well then you can make your request on the app yourself “ . WOW. Uh. Ok. Well I’ve tried that and again , usually only get the right results about half the time . So she was obviously annoyed that she would need to help me , reluctantly agreed to after she put me on hold for a bit . I decided if as a long time Hilton member I was going to be that much of a bother to a new hotel for a Sunday reservation in Amish country , I’d spend my money elsewhere . So glad I did. I was welcomed by a very lovely person down the street at the Amish View . Someone who obviously went to hospitality training . Shame . Hilton brand is not shining these days . The cold greeting matched the cold decor. Too modern for the area IMO . Suffice it to say , I guess I’m glad I was chased away . We come to the area at least 5 times a year . What a shame .

Disappointing Stay and Decline in Quality at Hampton Inn Intercourse, PA
My recent stay at the Hampton Inn in Intercourse, PA (May 24-26, 2025) was deeply disappointing and fell far short of the Hampton Inn standards I've come to expect as a loyal guest.
Other than the location being new and thus pretty clean, I unfortunately did not have a positive experience.
Our first night was ruined by excessive noise from the room above between the hours of 11pm-1am – constant running, slamming, and banging that went on for hours, waking myself and my family out of a sound sleep. Despite repeated attempts, I couldn't reach the front desk as the phone line was perpetually busy. While I reported it the next morning, the lack of immediate resolution meant a terrible night's sleep for my entire party.
To make matters worse, I received an unexpected and incorrect charge of $166.43 to my credit card on May 25th. I was told I'd receive a partial refund for the disturbance, not an additional charge. Despite spending hours on the phone with customer service, who claimed the issue was resolved, my credit card company had no record of a pending refund.
My conversation with the hotel manager was particularly frustrating. His dismissive and condescending attitude was appalling. He was argumentative, lacked empathy, and repeatedly emphasized that "no one else complained," boasting about an 85% approval rating, which felt irrelevant to my direct experience. He claimed he would have moved our room, yet moments later stated the hotel was fully booked. His offer of a mere 1/5 discount was insulting given the significant disruption we endured. During our stay we spoke to two separate front desk employees about our issues and were never once introduced to or saw this manager.
Beyond these specific issues, the overall quality of the hotel has drastically declined over the years. Housekeeping is now offered every other day, and basic amenities like bed-making and restocking paper goods are inconsistent. The complimentary breakfast, once a highlight, is now sub-par, we ended up skipping it our second day. Fresh options are gone- replaced with poor quality, prepackaged and high sodium items. Much of the breakfast was not refilled timely - on a busy holiday weekend there was 1 working waffle iron available, the apple juice was not refilled and came out from the dispenser as water, even the coffee tasted very watered down (I also recall dark roast coffee having been available previously, which it no longer was).
As a long-time Hampton Inn guest, I am truly disillusioned. This experience makes it clear that the "100% satisfaction guarantee" is not being honored, and I will unfortunately not be returning. Hilton seems to have significantly strayed from the quality and customer care it once prided itself on.

The stay was AMAZING! Iris at the front desk was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly staff, everything was spotless. Breakfast was great my kids had a blast. Would highly recommend.
