Best hostel in Albania

I really liked Hanna's Hostel. It had a lovely and welcoming atmosphere, with a nice and friendly owner and great volunteers. There is a very comfortable lounge area and also a lot of outside space with benches and tables. The kitchen is quite well equipped and they offer a small breakfast that is included in your booking price.
The beds have curtains and the room had a very spacious and clean bathroom. If I will ever come back to Berat, I'm most certainly going to stay there again .

We had a great time at Hanna’s Hostel. Fun activities were organized and the volunteers were welcoming, the guests themselves were also very pleasant. The rooms were also neat and we got a lot of raki!!

The best of the best

Absolutely the best hostel I've ever been in, everything perfect, very kind the owner who gave me info on what to do the next day, great suggestions for dinner and even made me watch the game on TV, you can not expect more TRY IT!!!!

Exceptional

A place with a special atmosphere since you enter and see the dedications of the guests who have passed by written on two walls of the reception
Exceptional service. We were offered a barbecue dinner -very plentiful and for 6 euros with drink included. Dinner with grilled meat and vegetables and rice.
They didn't mind getting up early to make us a breakfast we could take.
And also, the fourth bathroom of the room, wide and with curb in the shower so as not to fill with water the rest damage bathroom.
Friendly, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

The best place to stay in Berat. Or Albania. Or the continent.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in, after having travelled 50 countries and staying in hundreds of hostels.
It is rare that you find a place where you truly feel like home when traveling, this is one of those hostels where that happens.
The things such as location (perfect), cleanliness (spotless), rooms (super comfy, well planned and eye for detail), atmosphere (good common areas with a bar!) are all top notch. On top of that, the owner, staff and volunteers are all super professional, friendly and genuinely good people.
They make sure that you’ll have the best time possible in Berat, by recommending you the best places to eat, what to do, and plan social activities such as communal meals and tours to the surrounding beautiful nature.
We came to Berat pretty hungover, after being in North Macedonia and was picked up by the owner’s dad. They didn’t have to, since the bus is cheap and goes almost to the door - but they offered it since it was super hot and we were pretty exhausted.
We were welcomed by Ressi who did a pro walkthrough of Berat’s highlights and poured us a shot of homemade Rajkia!
We really wanted to do the canyon and waterfall tour, but fell in between the dates where the hostel runs it. However, after a quick chat the owner offered to take us anyway! We had an AMAZING day, exploring together and eating a brilliant bbq lunch. It’s one of the highlights of Albania. HIGHLY recommended.
The breakfasts are some of the best we’ve had in a hostel, all homemade by the owner’s mom. She also knows how to brew filtered coffee that even makes Scandinavians feel at home.
If you consider coming to Berat, stay here. Full stop.
