Excellent hotel with a sea view and pool

Excellent hotel with a breathtaking view and sea-view pool, friendly staff, and impeccable cleanliness
Good breakfast
It is a shame that some people on the floor above dropped some swimsuits onto my balcony and insisted on entering my room to check, even though we had returned everything we had found.
I understand the situation was not simple as they were difficult people, but they should never have let people into my room for privacy reasons; I am not giving a bad review because the hotel really deserves it and it was an isolated incident, but unfortunately I cannot leave 5 stars either.

Art Hotel Saranda

Top-notch hotel!!!
The staff is top-notch!!!
Mario is always there for the guests.
Pool and lounge chairs are very good. You have to walk at least 30 minutes to get to the city center.
The hotel is quiet, due to the fact that it is up high.
We had taken a slope, but we found out 3 days before that there is a staircase to get to the city center.
Beautiful view from the hotel.
The Albanians are very nice.
Over there, they speak Albanian and English.
Very touristy.
It is better to just go to Corfu and take the ferry, 30 min.
If you are driving it is better to have a car but the roads are not great!!!
So many good memories of this hotel

The amenities were really great. The staff must work really hard as they are there working from morning into the evening. The younger bar staff were really friendly and helpful. He helped bring us a wasp deterrent when it was very clear we didn’t like the wasps flying near us at breakfast. I loved the cleaner we had for majority of our stay, despite us not speaking any Albanian she was really friendly and helpful and wanted to clean our room or change our towels or bedding even when we were happy to keep the same ones for our stay. She brought us an extra blanket when we were cold and toilet paper so we didn’t run out. She was a cutie pie and I was happy to see her every day. We were welcomed into the hotel upon check in and given all the information about breakfast timings, pool times and WiFi but we weren’t sure if breakfast was included in the price on our booking so we asked later on and was unfortunately met with a passive aggressive statement that ‘if we had been listening’ and got the same instruction’s again of the information we knew. I appreciate that they must get a lot of tourists but it wasn’t what we were asking and I feel like they thought we were stupid or something. Being a more anxious person myself it then made me feel a bit on edge walking around the hotel. Overall, the hotel was nice and of a good standard and despite not using it in the evening, I like the fact that the pool was open till 10pm as you don’t get this often.

Very disappointed with Art Hotel: services and amenities far from a 4-star standard.

The hotel is located on the heights of Sarandë, about a twenty-minute walk from the Sarandë promenade, with rather difficult access, in the form of a hike, and the surroundings are under construction and dirty. The highlight is its pool with very pleasant surroundings. However, we were disappointed with the services and amenities of this 4-star hotel: the room is simple with basic furniture, and when the sheets are changed, they are placed on the bed; it is up to you to make your bed. The shower products in sample sizes are not always replenished, and the room and bathroom are not cleaned daily. The breakfast is rather basic, with a coffee machine serving hot drinks in a plastic cup, no fresh fruit juice, and a limited variety of sweet and savory products. The service relationship is rather basic. I do not recommend this hotel; we were very disappointed compared to the reviews we had read.

Not what we were hoping for

This modern hotel is extremely clean and has lovely views across to Corfu. Breakfast is fine and is served on a nice open area (although if you have early trips planned, which we did, the 8.30 start time may be too late). If you are used to hill walking the location is not a problem, and there is a short cut down to the coast and bus route to Ksamil and Butrint (unfortunately the surrounding roads are unsightly with dumped waste). If you enjoy spending time by the pool with music all day from 8.30 - 10pm you will probably have a great time, but this was not for us. Plus the very thin curtains, a balcony light you can't turn off and poor soundproofing didn't ensure a peaceful time or great sleep.
Out of our 2+ weeks touring Albania, enjoying welcoming hospitality in other amazing hotels, this stay was a bit disappointing.
