A disappointing hotel experience, fortunately saved by the amazing Coralia team
We spent one week at this hotel expecting a relaxing all-inclusive holiday. Unfortunately, the hotel experience itself fell far below our expectations. From the moment we arrived, several issues affected our stay, and what was most disappointing was not only the problems themselves, but the lack of solutions offered.
Our first disappointment was the room. We had booked a room with a double bed but were given two separate beds. Despite raising the issue, no alternative was offered, and my husband and I ended up sleeping separately for the entire week. This was particularly frustrating as rooms with queen-size beds appeared to remain available online for the same dates.
More concerning was the bay window, which could not be properly closed or secured, leaving our room accessible from outside. We reported the problem three times, but unfortunately nobody came to repair it during our stay. The safe provided in the room was also not fixed to anything and could easily be carried away.
Other issues added to the disappointment: the TV did not work, the shower had very little water pressure, and our room overlooked one of the least attractive parts of the property, including an area under construction. The hotel was also quite noisy, with doors slamming from around 7 a.m., staff activity in the morning and guests making noise at night.
Unfortunately, when we raised these concerns, we did not feel supported by the reception or management. We found it very difficult to obtain practical solutions, particularly regarding the beds and the unsecured window. We were also uncomfortable when asked to provide credit card details. Overall, we felt that the management was not particularly open to resolving the issues we encountered.
The same feeling continued with the general level of service. Some members of staff appeared disengaged and not particularly pleased to interact with guests. The notable exceptions were the pool bar staff and, above all, the Coralia animation team.
The “all-inclusive” formula was another major disappointment. In our experience, it felt much closer to full board with a limited selection of included drinks than to a genuine all-inclusive experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served during fixed time slots, with no food available between meals. The buffet was repetitive, with a strong focus on basic dishes such as pizza, pasta and French fries, and we found the overall quality disappointing.
Several bars offered drinks only at an additional cost, while the included alcoholic drinks were mainly local brands and many international brands required an extra payment. Bottled water was not provided, with guests instead using a water fountain.
Access to the hotel facilities was also limited. Guests on our package had access to one swimming pool, while another, larger and better-maintained pool required an additional fee. Pool towels were not always available, despite a €20 charge if one was lost. Only one room key was provided, with a €5 replacement charge in case of loss.
The beach was another disappointment. During our stay, we found cigarette butts, plastic waste, empty cans and even pieces of glass in the sand. The beach shower area also had many bees, making it uncomfortable to use.
Our final disappointment came on the day of departure. After checking out at noon, we were refused lunch that same day, despite having stayed on an all-inclusive package.
Fortunately, there was one outstanding part of our holiday: the Coralia animation team.
They were simply excellent. From morning until evening, the activities were varied, entertaining and professionally organised. The entire team brought energy, humour, kindness and genuine warmth to every day of our stay. Thanks to them, we shared wonderful moments and created memories that we will keep from this holiday.
Their professionalism and dedication stood in complete contrast to many of the difficulties we experienced with the hotel itself. They truly made a difference and, in many ways, saved our holiday.

Mary and the receptionist at the Hotel
I am specifically writing this review to acknowledge the excellent and professional help my son and I received from the receptionists. In particular Mary from the Philippines shone and went above and beyond to help. I worked in “Leading Hotels of the World” for 10 years I could see what an asset she is to you company. The hotel is very nice with a lot of amenities . The daily cleaning service can be a bit better as there were still some areas not well cleaned during the stay. If you are going in summer bring mosquito spray as there are alot of them in the evening coming into your room . The beach in this hotel is amazing and not so crowded , swimming pool is topnotch and breakfast was nice . There arent many restaurants around if you want to eat out , you need to walk a bit down to lane . The hotel restaurants are great but a little expensive compared to outside which is normal. The staff is very friendly and good

Wonderful holiday at Sol Tropikal
Everything was amazing, from the location to the staff and the food, I had an amazing experience in Sol Tropikal and I will come back for sure. The staff at the restaurants were very nice and helpful, everything was really clean and precise, I had an amazing culinary experience, I ordered a seafood linguine in their Italian restaurant and was delicious, the food arrived quickly and warm and the white wine fresh at the right time. I recommend this hotel if you want to have a cosy holiday and enjoy the Albanian hospitality, the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a nice view over the Adriatic Sea, the staff makes you to feel special and welcome at all times.
