Disappointing
They rate it as 4 stars, but it does not deserve more than 3.
It is well located, but it is not in very good condition. Misaligned doors, loose mats at the entrance. I did not like it

Serious experience: lack of security and no hotel support
My experience at this hotel was extremely negative and frustrating. We were staying in Buenos Aires to celebrate a special occasion, my wife’s 50th birthday, and we chose the hotel hoping for comfort and safety compatible with the rating presented.
However, on the fifth day of our stay, when we left for a walk and returned to our room around 6:00 p.m., we were surprised by the disappearance of several personal belongings. Dollars in kind, work computer, personal documents, clothes, backpacks and souvenirs acquired during the trip were taken away.
The most serious, besides the theft that occurred inside the room itself, was the complete absence of assistance from the hotel. We did not have adequate support at the time of the incident, we were not treated effectively by the management and, to this day, we have not received any contact or positioning from the responsible.
We registered an incident bulletin, there was expertise on the spot and we also communicated to the Embassy of Brazil in Argentina. Even with all the formality of the case, we continue without any return from the hotel.
It is important to note that the travel agency had no responsibility. The choice of the hotel was ours. In addition, the agency offered us immediate support and, on its own initiative, transferred us to a superior hotel, demonstrating professionalism and commitment, even without obligation to do so.
In view of all this, I leave here my report as a warning to other travellers. Safety and care in critical moments are fundamental, and unfortunately we did not have it during our stay.

Good location and great cost-benefit
The hotel is simple but serves well, especially for its location in the microcenter of Buenos Aires. We spent five nights at the hotel and there was no problem. The room is not large but offers the necessary comfort. Every day the maid arranged everything and changed the towels. It has no luxury, but it has comfort, including thermal. The bath is good too. Breakfast follows the same line, nothing sophisticated, but good enough. Cost-benefit is excellent

TERRIBLE.
Last minute reservation. Old hotel, rude staff, weak coffee, insecure. Fortunately we took all the valuables with us in a backpack because we only discovered the recent thefts at the hotel. With so many, but so many options in Buenos Aires WHY risk the few days of tour and take the risk of having problems?

Not staying at the Grand King Hotel
Bad hotel! The gift trip to Buenos Aires to celebrate my 50th anniversary has become a nightmare. Our room was stolen from this hotel on April 15, 2026. The hotel did not give us any assistance. Zero welcome. It was our 5th day staying at the Grand King Hotel. We arrived from a walk at 18:00, we entered the hotel room and immediately realized that we had stolen sidos. We descended to the reception desperate, and communicated that almost everything of ours had been taken away, they were simply indifferent to the situation. We heard that they couldn't do anything, that we had to wait until the next day. We had to call the police who, unlike the hotel professionals, welcomed us, recorded the incident and did the expertise! The hotel has no cameras in the hallways of the rooms, the safe was broken. We came to Brazil two days later and the management never received us to even listen to us. They stole dollars, notebook, almost all the clothes, backpacks and souvenirs. We cannot hold the agency responsible, because we chose this hotel for its location and asked the agency to make the accommodation intermediation.
