Excellent service

Excellent service. The owner Livia attends you very kindly, the very clean rooms with all amenities (air conditioning, linen ) provides cups. Electric kettle, sugar etc. The location is fabulous as you are two blocks from the main square. Provides room to stop vehicle.
Highly recommended.

Nice

A nice two room hosteria steps away from the mean square and restaurants. Easy parking and a warm welcome by th lady of the house. One room with double bed and aircon bathroom with shower. Other room with extra single bed.
Convenient and good value for money.
No credit cards and atm close.

Friendly, quiet, comfortable

We turned up in Cafayate without a reservation as it was low season, and were glad we found this place! It's small - just two or three rooms I think - and our room was at the front, in a separate building on its own. Really quiet at night as there were no adjoining rooms! The room was simple but very nice, with comfortable bed and private bathroom with good shower. Wifi worked well, even for Skype. We could park our hire car on the drive rather than having to leave it out on the road. Our hostess, Livia, was so attentive, friendly and just generally lovely! She would come in and clean our room every afternoon, and she helped us with info on everything we needed around Cafayate. I also really appreciated being able to come in and fill water bottles up from their large water dispenser bottle in the kitchen. On our last day, she wasn't there but her husband kindly let us stay until our bus at 2 pm with no charge, even though checkout is officially at 10.30. The location is excellent, only a very short walk to the main square and close to some wineries. The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast, which is very basic even for Argentina - some crunchy tostadas, some normal bread, jam and dulce de leche. No juice, just water, no fruit, etc. But overall extremely good, would highly recommend! (and it was really good value too - we paid 400 pesos a night in low season).

Super friendly place

La Tranquera is located one block from the main square of Cafayate, so you are close to everything. There are two rooms and they are very comfortable, clean, and quiet. You have everything you need, and the wifi was always good. The highlight of staying at La Tranquera is Livia, the hostess. She is friendly and kind, and will do anything to help you plan your days. I can't say enough good things about Livia. The breakfast is simple and the coffee is good. If I ever come back to Cafayate, I will stay here.

If you want to visit Cafayate then stay at La Tranquera

We were met by Livia, our hostess, who speaks excellent English (she is an English Teacher at her school) and who showed us to our well laid out and spacious room. She also provided us with a map of the town and gave us recommendations on where to visit and eat. The accommodation was excellent and Livia could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! Although the Hotel is only a short walking distance from the main town square there was no noise discernible from the centre in the evening. WiFi was available throughout the Hotel, including the bedrooms. From our point of view there was only one minor downside and that was the breakfast was rather meagre.
