Comfortable cabins
Ignacio is a gracious and helpful host, and he speaks fluent English. We stayed in one of his cabanas -- very comfortable and cozy. There is a small kitchen where you can make breakfast. The cabanas are surrounded with trees and tall foliage, so they are very private. Our cabana was a short walk from the parking lot. The cabanas are not too far from the national park and the volcano and a short walk to the beach. Chickens and cats live nearby, so they are regular visitors to your porch -- very charming!

DIRE EXPERIENCE
A dire experience. Similar to what Adriana reported. So it is obviously Ignacio's way of mistreating the tourist, especially if he is Argentine. We arrived at 3.15pm and he told us that it was company policy to check in at 4pm, a point he had not mentioned during the several chats the booking referred to, at least 3 months in advance. We requested a bath, since we had traveled all the dua, and in bad ways he told us that it was not possible. Claiming it was a bad start, he kicks us off the spot, closes the door of his truck in our face, and threatens to call the carabinieri if we don’t leave. We see an overreaction and alienation. I reinforce Adriana's comments. It wasn't an isolated occurrence. It's his way of operating. The Chilean Tourism Agency should act on this and remove the habilitation of the cabins.

A lot of mold
The place could be charming, but regrettable is very poorly maintained, and not suitable for allergic. Very uncomfortable bed and bathroom tooeb

Poor disposition
We called asking about cabin for 4 adults and my 10-year-old daughter, we were told no, only matrimonial cabin, then we requested two cabins, she told us that if, half an hour later, when we arrived at the place, everything was off, we called again and according to the person, there was no longer availability. It should be noted that it was the end of July, the middle of winter at 20:30 pm, we do not observe movement of tuiristas, Sunday day, all closed. It was really strange what happened. From the beginning it gave the feeling of an unwillingness of the person who attended us only by phone. Strange person to put it somehow.

Estimado, usted nunca realizó una reserva con nosotros. Tenemos una altísima demanda a lo largo de todo el año. Efectivamente 1/2 hora después de su primera llamada, ya no teníamos disponibilidad. Su comentario denota una personalidad absolutamente narcisista.

Cozy cabañas in Chaitén
The Cabañas of Chucao Bosque are located in the middle of a small forest (very nicely situated). And yet it takes 5 minutes to walk to the restaurants in Chaitén. Ignacio, the owner of the Cabañas, welcomed us very warmly. He had already prepared the wood in the oven, we only had to light it. But since it wasn't cold, we didn't need the oven at all. The Cabañas consist of a bedroom, bathroom with shower, an area with a small kitchen and sofa.
We tried both of Ignacio's restaurant recommendations (El Volcan and Pizzeria Chaitén) and liked them.
We would stay here again.
