Lovely park

Loved this nice tidy, clean and shady park. Had a grass site with bougainvillea hedges between sites for privacy. Amenities dated but very clean. Need some maintenance though. Bit expensive at $44 a night as Julia Creek was $38 per night. Had a musical due on Sunday afternoon for entertainment for the whole park which was very nice. Will be back. Receptionist very helpful and friendly.

Oasis in Cloncurry

Management extremely helpful and provided us with a good site near the ammenities (as requested). Ammenities very clean and great showers. Park is kept very tidy. Cloncurry is worth an extended stay with lots of mining history and natural beauty. Museums worth a visit.

It does the Job

Great location
Park was nice grassy sites nice trees for shade.
Site were a great size.
Value was ok as we are Caravaners so we don’t need to use the showers.
Amenities need a big over haul very out dated they look dirty but they are cleaned daily. It’s a shame for the amount of people use this park they can’t update the interior of the amenities. To make the experience nicer.

Shower at night, busy little overpriced park

The smell of the town is foul, like gas from the copper smelter. The unpowered site $44. Nice lady at the desk. Shower was awfully low pressure. Washing and dryers only $4 each and a good dry time, at least 20mins and dry! Cleaners came in and started to clean while I was showering, came out of ladies stall to be greeted by a male cleaner in the bathroom cleaning, at 8am. At least wait until 10 like most parks do, or put up a cleaning times sign. The camp kitchen looked fab, the bbq like the ones you take to the tip, the pool looked great, not hot enough for us to swim. Noisy little town, but everyone is probably in a hurry to leave it. The IGA is a great supermarket. All in all, better than the free camp under the bridge. The info centre is worth the visit!

Oh that smell

I really dont like when accommodation is called deluxe, when in fact its substandard. The smell of meat fat from cooking which impregnates the cabin was overpowering. It took 6 hours to knock it down. The ac wasnt on when we arrived. It was 38 degrees inside. That took 3 hours to drop below 30 degrees. The pot and frypan were disgusting. The pitiful amount of dishwashing liquid suppied with a micro sized chux were useless. No hot water at the kitchen sink. We should have kept going to Julia Creek which have excellent cabins. At lease the bed was ok. Never again
