Disgusting

What a shame there's no element of respect or care for this place. Disgusting.Rubbish cooking in the heat with a putrid smell. Dirty rooms and linen.
Please if visiting Edenhope look elsewhere.

Don’t even consider it - it is a disgrace

The only good point about this place was the clean, comfortable bed.
The place was filthy. Dirty carpet with grease marks and under bed and corners not vacuumed with bandaid wrapping and a medication of some sort.
Under desk/dining table was a shelf that had a oile of dirt and dust suggesting not cleaned for months. I had to wipe all surfaces to remove dust before use.
Kettle was new but element covered in a white film.
Trying to use key to enter was almost impossible straining my hands badly and it took some time to get in. Shut door to see if I could exit but same problem that I consider to be dangerous if an emergency was required.
No security on the door - where a chain had once been - nothing.
Upon eventual entry I found the window winder on the floor!
All curtains needed a wash and ones in bathroom were torn.
Fridge was not very cold even being on high all night.
Main room-light over mirror did not work despite receptionist replacing tube. Another light tube was replaced.
Had to wash cups and spoons before use.
Tea, coffee, sugar and milk - coffee was like a brick, worse with the sugar and milk was 9 days past use by date.
Outside were rubbish bins overflowing and garden tired with a lawned area in need of a big tidy-up. Some motel towels that had been drying on the line, were on the ground when I arrived and dtill there when I left.
I was the only guest that night and I think that says it all.
Ordered a meal (fish and chips)to be picked up by me but it was delivered. Was freshly cooked by receptionist (she was there alone so had to do everything). Tasted fine but was so pale that suggested not long enough. The lettuce was limp and not crispy. Not surprising that restaurant was without diners.
There were other things that required a proper lean and/or repairs

Very easy for one night it goes.

The motel is very basic and very worn out! The reception desk was friendly. The lady could not provide further information than necessary for the overnight stay. OK for one night ... but nothing more. Pros: The motel was very clean.

ADVERSE REACTION

Returning from my wife’s surgery in Adelaide, and being new residents to Edenhope, we thought we would try the local Motel Takeaway. Looked at Menu on-line, and thought we would ring, and order for a pick-up. I ordered Indian, and wife thought she would play safe, and order a Vegetarian Pizza as was described on-line. WRONG! Website not up-to-date. The Vegetarian Pizza was not what the on-line menu described, but actually had Dried Chilli on it, and nothing like what was on-line. My wife has an instant reaction to any form of Chilli, and when this is not transparent in ordering has an adverse reaction! Surely these establishments need to keep these type of ingredients up-dated on their Websites!, As new locals will find it hard to return for future orders!

We won't return

Staff were friendly
Bed was clean and comfortable
Room was grubby. Carpet was filthy. Switches were really dirty. Water temperature from shower come and went.
The door lock took a bit of working.
Untidy appearance on the exterior
Stayed for an event so had no choice. We won't be back
