Chittaway Motel má vlastní balkon s výhledem na řeku. K dispozici je bezplatné Wi-Fi a gril. Chittaway Motor Inn se nachází 5 minut jízdy od nákupního centra Westfield Tuggerah. Cesta ke vchodu trvá autem 15 minut a do Gosfordu 20 minut.

Poor cleanliness, noisy location, room insecure.
On arrival, the man at reception who greeted us we felt was not very welcoming or smiling. We were given room 102.
The motel is located adjacent to 24x7 Servo and a drive-in bottleshop. Traffic from the bottleshop occurred on all 4 sides of motel building, as well as some traffic from the shopping centre and pub. We experienced quite a few instances of hooning and loud exhausts. However it was handy for the nearby Shopping Centre which housed a Coles supermarket and a few take-away outlets.
The ground floor room was very spacious, with a Queen bed and adequate bathroom. Furniture was dated but worked. The complex had a free guest laundry.
TV had Foxtel included, however was virtually unwatchable due to constant buffering.
The room itself was dirty in multiple aspects:
- Dust under bed
- Dirt and mould around shower inside and out.
- Dirty fingerprints and brown stains on light switch.
- Brown marks around kettle.
- Food/stickiness on fridge handle.
- Dirt on shower litter bin lid.
- Carpets stained in numerous spots.
The toilet seat was loose.
Fire safety and evacuation signs dated 2009, and questionable fire detection in the rooms - would have thought an update would have been required since 2009.
The Microwave electrical power outlet behind microwave (for toaster) was loose and potentially falling out of wall (reported to reception).
Poor room security (no secure locks on main door. Toilet window has no security. Patio door unlockable security bolt, and loose fittings. We ended up putting a chair across the front door at night as we felt very insecure.
Dog (sounded large) frequently barking from within the resort (in a strictly no-pet resort).
Evidence of smoking and smell of smoking was experienced in corridors, and in and around guest laundry - cigarette butt and ash found in tumble drier and on laundry floors.
On the last morning, hot water was turned off without notice before we could have a shower. Managers response was "it was supposed to have happened yesterday", but no apology. (We weren’t advised this was due to happen yesterday either.)
On the positive side, they returned items I left behind, after I contacted the Motel to see if they still had them.
I did raise the concerns via email after our return home from the trip. The response was he would pass it on to management and will discuss the poor cleanliness issues with staff. Nothing heard since.

Furthermore, the room was very spacious clean with everything needed to be very comfortable.

Family funeral , room with nice views , tavern ,supermarket ,bakery a short stroll.
