When making the reservation it's impossible to differentiate between 2 small beds or 1 large. Of course with our luck only room available when I checked in had one bed. We were provided a blanket I rolled and stuffed between us. Also, the tub was so high, my mom couldn't climb in. Otherwise the place is beautiful and great location

Construction sites should not be rented out

The hotel room on the 3rd. floor is surrounded by 2 major construction sites. The rooms next to us are being renovated and the floor above us as well. There is construction material everywhere, everything covered with plastic. It is an outrage to even rent out this site. Footage as proof of what goes on here every morning at 7:00 AM!!!
Our room does not even have space for our clothes, they stay in the suitcase, the reception referred us to our standard room and did not offer a quieter room. The windows can only be opened 20 cm, then you hit the retrofitted blinds. The noise from the cobblestone street comes from car races in the evening, and garbage trucks and deliveries in the morning around 6:00 AM.
The location is the only good thing!

A hotel room on a construction site

Plus: The location is very good.
Minus: we got an overpriced room right next to a construction site due to renovations. Our complaint the next morning was taken by a rude to arrogant employee at the reception; unfortunately, he was not necessarily interested in solving the problem. Only when a new, friendly employee appeared at the reception at noon did we receive an apology and an upgraded room, including the move and the associated inconveniences. There was no compensation for the first night. Our little trip to this beautiful city, which we had been looking forward to very much, was of course severely dampened by this, a pity...

Very well located but the only positive point

Hotel very well located with a very beautiful view of the canals but the room is very poorly insulated from noise coming from other rooms, bedding not very comfortable and furnishings are dated and the bathroom is equipped with a bathtub under a sloped ceiling and therefore requires bending over backwards to take a shower. We understood well that renovations are underway but the room we occupied has not yet benefited from them. Too bad...

Beware of this hotel!

Nice looks ng hotel in downtown Brugee, but beware, they are under construction and the staff and management is not guest friendly!! Booked two rooms, one smelled of urine and the desk clerk refused to move us saying it didn't smell that bad, even when we showed him a chair with obvious urine rings and smelled horribly. The other room had not been cleaned after the last guest, with food, used soap, cups and left overs and the clerk was argumentative, unhelpful and seemed bothered that we would bring these issues to him. Not a good business plan. Very frustrating and unprofessional staff, along with construction noise and work equipment in hallways.
