Cozy place with awesome view and perfect location
We've been in the property in November 2018 and stayed 3 nights. It's not easy to find it (no Logo), but if you know the address - no problem. The owner is kind, we arrived late at night, but anyway we managed to get in the hotel by just calling the Owner and asking to open the door. What did we get? We got the living room, the bathroom with shower and bath, and a spacious upper deck with a king-size bed and a fancy terrace with a great view to the Belfort and Sint- Baafskathhedraal. Tasty breakfast every morning: great variety of baking products, cheese, ham, coffee or tea, fresh fruit, fresh juice, etc. What I didn't like- the cleanness of the bath (picture attached). A huge benefit of the hotel is its location: the place is only about 10 minute walk from the city center where you can go for dinner and city tour.

Lovely place but w some street noise
I would like to gush about the short walk to the 17th century old town squares, the fresh breads w sliced cheeses and meat, yogurt, boiled egg, bottomless coffee, breakfasts every morning. Mark has created a fashionable and spacious set of bedrooms, ours with a large ensuite bathroom.
(Mark also repaired the shower that broke on our watch - within an hour! Very impressive response time.)
The only significant problem was, along with the short distance from the B&B to the old town, Mark’s accessibility and service-orientation and the comfortable living space, there is a bar on the same street and annoyingly, it turned out that Belgians in the wee hours (out dancing) are not stereotypically reticent. Our last night was punctuated with clamorous bypassers very deep into the morning hours.

Great stay in the city center even with kids
We've been in the property in January 2018 and stayed 3 nights. It's not easy to find it as no logo or signage can be found, but you know the address and it's there, so no problem. Owner is kind, showed us the room instantly (got the big one on the top), and ensured he left that for us in a condition that we like. Room had coffee machine, water boiler, coffe capsules and tea available. Nice living room and a spacious upper deck with a king size bed and a fancy terrace with a great view to the Belfort and Sint- Baafskathhedraal. Breakfast served around 8.30 every morning with the freshest snacks: great variety of baking products, cheese, ham, nutella, coffee or tea, fresh fruit, fresh pressed orange juice, mozarella caprese, etc. all prepared by the owner every morning. And yes, above of all, the main benefit: the place is only about 10 minutes walk from the city center where you can reach everything. We've been there with our children (5 and 2 years), so we were noisy sometimes, but it was all OK for them. It's a great place in a great town.

lovely stay, great central location
Stayed here for 3 nights in June. The location is great as only a short walk from the city center. We had instructions to choose from 3 rooms. We chose room 1 the 'romantic room'. It had a small dark bathroom but light and airy bedroom with big windows and chandelier. We found it a bit noisy at night due to the venue across the road. Breakfast was a great continental selection, more than enough. I'd return there.

Great location but not good for light sleepers!
A really great location walking distance from the beautiful sights of Gent, down a quaint side street.
Main downside was the noise, both through internal walls and through the windows to the street. Thank goodness I can sleep through anything, otherwise you might not have got much sleep.
Otherwise, great breakfast- good choice and v filling. Clean rooms and nice en suite. We upgraded to a slightly more spacious room which was nice.
We never actually met the owner, we were sent the door code and left our cash with the cleaner on the way out- seemed a bit odd but obviously worked ok.
Good value for money.
