Perfect

Very personal welcome. The whole house is very well maintained and the staff extremely helpful, friendly and nice. For the disabled, the stairs become a problem. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast excellent. The location to the underground car park and the city center is excellent!

Comfortable and convenient for visiting Ghent and wider Flanders

Ideally situated 15mins walk from Saint Peters station and the city Centre, on a quiet street. Our room was large and comfortable, with excellent bed. The shower was hot with decent pressure. Breakfast was lovely, esp the pancakes! Staff were friendly amd helpful. We’d love to stay again.
Ghent was our base to explore Flanders and we recommend Achilles and Ghent to do this yourself, with Bruges, Brussels, Ostend and Ypres as easy day trips.
Nearby restaurants we recommend are Firenze for true Italian hospitality and Everest as a new Asian restaurant esp the homemade dumplings!

Ghent 2024 surprising

The location is a choice, 15 min from downtown with parking around the corner. Top reception and the room (romance room) was totally good! Spacious, neat and nicely decorated. The breakfast was very extensive and served with care.
Highly recommended for staying in a beautiful city.

B&B Achilles

Good place in a good location. Not in the very center of Ghent, but still within walking distance (about 20 minutes) from the center of town. The area is nice and safe, full of students. Convenient (not free, but reasonably charged) parking garage on square only 100 m away. Plenty of eating options nearby. The room itself was standard, but perfectly adequate for a couple of night's stay. Narrow stairs and no elevator. Not an issue for us, but worth pointing out for guests with mobility issues. The staff was friendly and professional, especially the staff on breakfast serving duty. Breakfast was nice. A good stay, would recommend.

Exceptional

I went to Ghent to attend a conference. My time at Achilles was just superb. The staff was friendly and attentive, rooms clean and luxurious. Loved the detail of the complimentary coffee, water and tea, plus the honesty bar.
Room was very confortable, check in great, no complaints really. Will stay here again when I am back
Breakfast was very nice, with fruits, speciality coffees, fresh juice, eggs and more... but would have appreciated if there is a menu with what was offered (e.g. types of eggs) so the guests don't feel the urge to go for the same eggs they know every day.
