Highly recommended for a farm experience!

Super fun weekend with our boys (2.5 and 4.5). Kindly received. Farmer Leen gave an extra tour of the farm at 6 p.m. for the children who sleep at 7:30 p.m. The supervised activities are very nice, with a lot of attention to the involvement of the children. Throughout the day you can work independently in the stables or pet the calves.
Large variety of go-cars, pedal tractors and bicycles. Play area in the barn. Playground, the children quickly find each other.
Excellent accommodation, decent beds. Spacious bathroom.
Delicious breakfast, more than enough, together with the other families in the breakfast room. And as a bonus, a play corner with a baby park next to the dining table: close enough for small children to play, far enough for parents to be able to eat in peace.

Christmas Market in Bruges

Lovely welcome from Leen who showed us around the farm and then our room. We enjoyed fussing the cattle and newly born calf before finding go carts for adults in the barn. After a continental breakfast with eggs straight from the chicken on the farm. ( the best scrambled eggs ever!). We had a few races to start our day. A short drive into Bruges for the christmas market. And then a peaceful relaxed evening in the upstairs social room. TV, toys for young children and a few games available for everyone to use.

Perfect family lodging

Spent 2 nights at De Grote Linde in early May, 2019 and loved everything. My wife and I were traveling with our daughter, son in law and their 4 children ages 11, 8, 5, 3.
Leen was the most kind and gracious hostess. At her suggestion, we upgraded upon arrival to the larger accommodations, the 2 large bedroom house with its own kitchen and living room. As we had arrived a little late, Leen made sure we could get into the nearby restaurant for dinner. She made up the new rooms for us while we were at dinner. Each morning she provided a delightful breakfast, much of it made to order. The children loved staying on the farm, collecting eggs, feeding the calves (some only a couple of days old), and other small chores. There is much to engage the children, pedal toys to ride, a slide in the barn, and swingset outside.
The location was great for our visit to Bruges. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. We slept very peacefully.
As we traveled through Europe for two weeks, it was a welcome change to spend several days in the countryside with friendly hosts. We'll certainly recommend this place to others.

To be highly recommended

We really enjoyed our holiday thanks to the very welcoming B & B De Grote Linde. The Bruggeman family are very kind and professional in running their business. Recommended also for families with little children. It is possible to drink fresh milk every morning for breakfast, really tasty!!! The location is quiet and you can enjoy country life with the animals on the farm. Easy to get there and well connected to the centre of Brugge, just 15 minutes. The city is really beautiful as well as the other cities nearby.

Excellent

A gem of a find: great comfortable rooms, home made produce at breakfast and genuine friendly hosting. Farm activities perfect for our 3 year old and within easy striking distance of Brugge (we walked 10 mins into the village and took a bus). Thoroughly recommended.
