Highly recommended in Veurne and surroundings!

This B&B is offers excellent value for money. We really see just what could be better. Every comfort, super friendly hostess and host, delicious breakfast, beautiful, very clean room.

What a find! (also literally,as tucked away)

Made to feel really welcome, Lovely warm room, tastefully decorated, comfy bed, high quality linen, excellent walk in shower in a spacious bathroom. The only tiny negative was that the pillows could have been less high and more snuggly…. Probably fine if you’re used to a high pillow, but not for a front sleeper!
A delicious, copious, and varied breakfast, The Veurnse Slaaper is brilliantly situated for visiting the centre of the town. An advantage for us was that there was also some parking.
Would be back at the drop of a hat.
Make sure you get directions from the owners, as it is tucked away, and one of the posts with one of the arrows on it had been knocked and was not easily read.

Great B&B in centre of Veurne

THis Bed & Breakfast is located right in the centre of Veurne, in a small street next to the central square. Very clean, large room with small mini bar & fridge, coffee machine in the room. Convenient bathroom and seperate toilet. Very comfortable beds. A nice area downstairs (with small terrasse) where you can sit and relax. Very good breakfast.

Clean, friendly & welcoming, perfect (aside from parking).

Lovely small family-run hotel, where my wife and I stayed for one night en route to places further east. Els was very welcoming and provides a very personal service. Room was very comfortable, lacking only a safe. All is spotlessly clean and fresh.
Breakfast was plentiful and varied with eggs cooked to order by family members. A beautiful property in equally beautiful surroundings.
Parking was a little difficult, found a free parking space about 200m away in Handboogstraat after being guided by Els.
Veurne is a lovely small town and we were directed to Hof an de Hemel, an excellent restaurant a short distance away, which I will also be reviewing.
We would thouroughly recommend De Veurnse Slaper and would stay there again.

Relax in the historic center of a beautiful town.

A stay at 'de Veurnse Slaper' is even better than 'coming home'.
The rooms are very tastefully, comfortably and modernly furnished. The beds guarantee an excellent night's sleep. The minibar and mini espresso machine mean that you can have a drink in the evening in front of your big TV without having to leave the house.
The breakfast is extensive: plenty of choice, very fresh and tasty! The host will provide a perfectly boiled or fried egg if desired.
Hostess Els and host Thierry know Veurne and the region perfectly: they are happy to give tips and guidelines if you want to plan excursions and cycling tours. You can also rent bicycles through them, so you don't have to look for them.
Veurne is a nice 'food town'. There are numerous eateries worth a visit. Els and Thierry also know how to share good tips there.
The great thing about this is that they are all within walking distance: this B&B is located right in the historic center of Veurne.
In summary: I cannot fault this B&B. It is the ideal place to relax for a while.
