Very cozy place.

Wonderful experience! The guesthouse is impeccable, with a care visible in every detail. The cleanliness of the bedroom and the common area is note 10, and the pool was crystal clear, an invitation to relaxation. The breakfast is delicious and very well served. A special highlight for the four-legged hosts — the pups in the guesthouse are a joke and make the environment even more welcoming! The host is extremely attentive and made us feel at home. Even having to shorten the trip for an unexpected, we left delighted and sure we will return

Very good experience

The service, amenities and location really highly recommended
The beds very comfortable and having fridge and being able to eat in the room was very good.
It is one block from the beach and almost downtown.
We drove with Uber to tour the island,

Like at home

Like at home.
We spent 15 spectacular days. Barra beach is beautiful. La
Posada is approximately 50 meters from the descent to the
Beach, in front of a super and 1 block from the small center.
Eloy when she welcomes you at check in even when she says goodbye makes you feel at home. He is very polite and helpful and is in every detail.
Breakfast is very good with fruits, cold cuts, juice, bread, different sweets, cheese bread and coffee to choose different tastes with machine.
The room is spacious, with fridge, electric stove, microwave, utensils. bacha with table and tend. The bed very comfortable as well as the pillows.

Cleanliness is good. It has parking and all facilities are very neat and clean.
The cleaning girls, Daniela and her partner make sure that nothing is missing at breakfast and in the daily cleaning service in the room.
I would choose the
Inn a thousand times.

Good staff, but dated motel

The staff at the motel are quite helpful. They even helped me to checkin after midnight. The girls are friendly, and generally do a good job of looking after the place. The breakfast is good and features fresh fruit. Also, there's a market right across the street that's open from 7 to 10 each day, and offers homemade food. They have other supplies at the market too, so I recommend checking it out.
That's most of the positives. The Trip Advisor main page claims the staff speaks Spanish, English, and Portuguese... turns out Eloy is the only one who speaks English, and I would not describe it as fluent.
The beds are the worst beds I have ever slept on... hard as solid concrete. And the rooms were not particularly clean; see attached images. I could not get the heater to work in my initial room, despite it being 50 degrees outside and rainy. Though they did let me change the room the following day.
The entire property is just old. Even the staircase has a loose handle. There's no elevator, so if you have a 50 pound suitcase, you will have to haul it up the staircase.
And the waste baskets are way too small...
My main gripe was being unable to sleep due to the horrible beds. On the upside it's not very expensive to stay there. And if you must stay in Barra Da Lagoa for some reason, it might not be a bad option. But, if you have the choice of staying at more comfortable place, then I would certainly recommend doing so.

Top place

Very nice place, very clean accommodation, top breakfast, we were well received, we will definitely be back. No details, but thank you, everything perfect, guesthouse on the same street as the beach, with a market in front, with a great location
