Charming and relaxing!

Very happy with this friendly little place - central location, comfortable, modern room, we were only in for a single night, but would definitely recommend staying for longer.
You can walk to plenty of places to eat within less than five minutes, so it's very convenient, too. Would happily come back again.

Cosy, traditional house and friendly hostess

Bashtina Striaha is a lovely house decorated in traditional style, set a few streets away from the main square so everything is nearby. There are restaurants and minimarkets within 3-5 minutes walk. Parking is available on the street just outside the house which is very safe. It is a very peaceful area and really quiet at night - the only thing you can hear (if you have the window open) is the small stream which runs down the centre of the street, it is a very relaxing sound. We were greeted by Mariana who spoke excellent English; she was friendly and willing to chat, and available if we had any problems or questions (we didn’t). Our room had windows to the front and back which made the room light and airy. It was a good size with lots of storage and sockets, there was a small table, stools and a comfy chair. It had a proper double bed which was very comfortable; the bathroom was a good size and there was lots of hot water for the shower. Mariana had thought of everything - even down to the cute elephant towels :-) there was good wifi, a big fridge, kettle, cups, a box of plates and cutlery, iron and even umbrellas - which was very helpful as we had torrential rain in the afternoon and evening (the only bad weather of our trip). The guest rooms had their own staircase and door onto the garden which meant you were free to come and go as you pleased without worrying about disturbing anyone. The secluded back garden was very beautiful and would be a lovely place to sit and relax on a sunny evening after a day wandering the town. Unfortunately we only had one night here - we were delayed by the rain on our long drive, so arrived a lot later than planned and had to leave mid-morning to get back to the airport so we did not have as long as we would have liked. Koprivshtitsa is a wonderful town and fully deserves much more time than just a few hours! We would love to return and explore it properly and if so, we will stay again at Bastina Striaha.

Charming

Charming place for a family visit in the region. We enjoyed warm welcome and loved the rooms. Restaurant offers fantastic food and culinary delicacies from the region - ask for the homemade "baklava" on special recipe of the house! Excellent value for money!

Great place

A charming guest house very near the centre.
The room was spotless, airy and large. Plenty of hot water in a large bathroom, and a working fridge and free tea and coffee.
One of the few owners in town that could speak good english.
Would return in an instant.

Perfect. He would repeat without hesitation.

I loved. I booked for 13 euros, and it turned out to be a huge room, with fridge included, and a small table with its sofa and some stool. The bathroom was also large and comfortable. The bed, a double, large and comfortable. The owner, very friendly. I loved staying in this house, and would repeat without hesitation. It is close to all tourist sites, walking distance. It has a very nice garden, full of plants. Not a noise at night.
