Panagyurishte Gold

great 3 star hotel close to town centre and shared pool and spa facilities with sister 4 star Kamanard hotel.
Spacious clean rooms.
A little effort and language difficulties can be surmounted and friendly,helpful staff discovered.
All 30 of our hillwalking group will gladly revisit

Don't expect too much

It's simple 2 starts hotel perfect for a night or two.
Positive
-good location, close to the centre and in the same time its quiet and you can hear the sounds of nature.
- clean sheets and towels
- basic breakfast, enough for a morning meal
Negative
-stuff is not very polite
-floor and balcony were extremely dirty
- you feel like you are in the hospital
-extremely small TV
-the sofa was broken and my sister slept sitting on it
- you can see graffiti on the wall in the main bedroom

Modern, spacious, friendly

Modern hotel on the edge of the town but only a short walk away from the centre. Room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage, bathroom was clean and modern but, like most hotels we stay in, there was no storage in the shower which means having all your toiletries on the floor! We had a large balcony with views over the park to the town. The lobby bar was nice to sit in for a drink in the evening. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a special Christmas package which included food, breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The two holiday dinners we had were really good, especially the one on Christmas day. The restaurant is very large and while it had been decorated for the holidays it wasn't enough so it did lack a little festive atmosphere. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

A new hotel

This is a new 3 stars hotel located in a park in the close proximity with the sport infrastructure - Asarel arena and football field, 5 minutes walking away from the town center. It is a quiet place. The staff is young, not very experienced but eager to serve you well. The food is better than expected - fresh and tasty. Rooms are comfortable. Bathroom looks good but it is not functional and convenient.

Clueless staff, terrible food

Arrived here without a booking. The hotel was new, looked bare, like they forgot to furnish it. Receptionist took ages to check us in, despite the hotel being 3/4 empty. Our room was a "suite" on the top floor. The so-called suite consisted of a bedroom and a room of unclear purpose. The bedroom had no curtains at all, so no privacy or any means of darkening the room. The other room, however, had big thick curtains, which served no purpose, as you could not sleep in it. The bed was tucked under the sloping ceiling, which meant you hit your head every time you go in or out of bed. The shower had no curtain either. The airconditioner would only work as a heater, despite the hot weather.
Reception told us to check if the restaurant would serve us dinner, as they had a big function (they should have done the checking for us). Turned out the event was for around 20 people and there were 150 seats. We ordered chicken breast and trout. They arrived after 50 minutes. When we cut into the food, both the chicken and the fish oozed blood.
Breakfast could not be had in the room. We went to the barn-like restaurant for breakfast. Everything was both stale and poor quality.
We went out to see the town. When we returned, the room was not cleaned and the wet towels were still in the bathroom. I called reception and they asked which towel did I want changed!
We eventually realised who was this bizarre place aimed at when we saw a fourth-division football club arriving on a decrepit coach, followed by a hundred pot-bellied soccer fans.
Avoid.
