You can give a chance

I was there with a project. Many people, many opinions. It is clean and located close to the city center. I found it good for students but also perfect for anyone who don't have huge expectations from a hostal. At least is clean, quiet and you have a karaoke pub just near. I didn't enjoyed the breakfast very much, but maybe things changed till then. Have to mention that I was there in April 2015

So good!

Such a great stay! The guys that work there were super kind and incredibly helpful, I really enjoyed my stay. The room had A/C, the showers were warm and the beds were comfy. Its a great location, right in the middle if everything. Cheap food is close, Vitosha street (walking street) with all the shops is right around the corner. The tram stop and the metro are right near. Tons of great architecture and old churches close by. Taxis are easily found. Breakfast was light and delicious and included! So great.

Absolutely perfect!

The room was comfortable and clean. The location is incredibly ideal with loads of adventures and restaurants nearby. The staff was so friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. I Loved my stay here!

Everything is awesome...

We were a group of 8 and had a great experience at Hostel Lavele. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was extremely comfortable, and the included breakfast was delicious. Our room was a relief at the end of each day. If I come back through Sofia I will be staying here again!

A bit loud and no one home

Our room was very clean, but the upstairs shower was broken as was the light. I wanted to alert the manager about the light, but alas, after meeting him the first night we never saw him again and he was not around at opening/closing or any other hours, it seemed. We ended up paying the cleaner for our stay, who seemed nice. It was less nice to be kept up by the Karaoke bar next door all night. That of course, is no fault of the hostel's - but be warned. It's loud on the street if the bar gets busy (everyone comes out to smoke and practice show tunes) until about 3am. It might have been a bit better had we been able to close the windows, but it was super hot and of course, we had no a/c. That said, it only happened one night. The other night we stayed was perfectly quiet. Random!
