Great location, unfortunately a bit overpriced.
The location is great, right in the forest. In summer, you can reach Keilberg on foot in 15 minutes. It is located next to the ski slope. The rooms are simple and there is some need for renovation in one or two corners. The hosts were very friendly. Breakfast was great, with one or two new treats for us every day. Our accommodation was a 1-bedroom apartment for four with a balcony and a bathroom. Unfortunately, there were no seating options on the balcony. Cleanliness was acceptable, aside from a few cobwebs. I only found the price to be exaggerated. We paid about 170 euros per night for four people with a dog and breakfast included. I found that a bit exaggerated.

Idyllic overnight stay next to fox and hare.
We were here for biking; the proximity to the bike park was decisive.
The house is situated in a very idyllic location, almost in the middle of a healthy spruce forest, where no one bothers you. The access is a bit adventurous; you can't get there with a low vehicle, but it was no problem with a family SUV.
The room was fine, the breakfast was excellent, especially because there was always something freshly baked.
The hosts were nice and helpful.
Communication worked well in a mix of German, English, and a translation app without major hurdles. One should not always expect that everyone can communicate in their own or a foreign language. The house could focus a bit more on mountain bikers, for example, with options to wash bikes, secure them at night, a bar to hang the saddle, or an accessible way to charge eMTBs.
With the short distance to the bike park, it is a good opportunity to have a full house all summer long. The path to the mountain station and thus to the start of all trails either leads over the ski slope (400m, steep uphill) or over the road (5km, moderately uphill). Last but not least, we are not talking about a hotel but about a hostel.
The large guest room has its own bathroom.
The small ones share a bathroom. The living and dining area is used communally, also by the hosts and their staff.

Idyllic hotel
This is going to be a bit more difficult evaluation. It depends essentially on what you can expect or expect.
We were there in winter, for ski season.
And this is where the challenges begin. You travel to the ski resort of Klinovec, carry your luggage towards the ski slopes and then, if everything works out, you are picked up by the "Hüttenwirt" (hotel operator) with a snowmobile and transported to the accommodation by it. That's actually very nice, since you drive up the mountain "open-air". Nice experience, but especially for older visitors possibly difficult to cope with.
There are several, quite simple but clean rooms. One (ours) with private bathroom, the other rooms share another bathroom.
The hotel is located directly on the ski slope, ideal for anyone who wants to go down to the valley before the first lift. However, for non-skiers it becomes a bit problematic. If you want to do something, you should have left the house at 08.45 am at the latest to get to the valley unscathed. For this, you have to cross the slopes twice, which is not entirely harmless during ongoing operation, especially since here is quite "sporty" (= polite description for aggressive).
The road is about 600m, then another 700 m along the road to the parking lot.
If you want to go back to the hotel/hut, the time after 16.00 is the best time when the lift operation ends. Otherwise it will be very dangerous.
After skiing, however, it is fantastically quiet, located on the edge of the forest, in deep solitude. Great!
In summer or non-skiing times, accessibility should be better. There is probably also a small way there and you should probably be able to reach the property by car.
There's food at the cabin. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Depending on how much was plastered by the day guests in the small café next to it. If you're unlucky, there may be nothing. Although there is then the possibility to eat in Klinovec or (better) in Bozi Dar, but the way there (see description above) is quite far.
Communication with the operators was difficult as both spoke only Czech. Those who speak Czech have no problems here. With German or English, however, you won't get far.
Conclusion (winter): great location for skiers, simple equipment but everything functional, for non-skiers in the winter season only very limited recommended.
