Excellent, comfortable stay in a quirky, Art Nouveau historic hotel. Great location for transport links around Prague

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel - a happy surprise having read the mixed reviews here. It's in a historic, quirky, Art Nouveau building, with a beautiful central staircase, albeit it didn't look promising from the outside when we arrived in the dark. I imagine the experience varies according to the room, and whether it's in the main hotel building, which could account for some of the mixed reviews.
We had a beautiful and quiet 2nd floor room facing away from the main road. Fridge and kettle included (but no tea/ coffee etc). Very comfortable bed. Staff really helpful with queries (24/7 reception). They provided a helpful note with tram recommendations for easy travel into town or to the beautiful Castle area, albeit we walked it on the first day to get our bearings. (Convenient and frequent trams stop right outside the hotel, and the public transport system is excellent and cheap. Local eating places within a couple of minutes walk). The included breakfast buffet was delicious and varied, including cereals, pastries, rolls, cold meats / salad and a hot option. We didn't try the wellness area which was an extra cost. Note they seem to only service the rooms on request.
Highly recommended overall as a good value 3* hotel in a good location for exploring Prague. (The lift was working fine for our visit, although we preferred to use the stairs!).

Am chef....

Location, atmosphere extra, rooms spacious, very clean, staff from reception,kitchen and house keeping very helpfull and friendly, everything ok.

Breakfast served from 7am,very clean room,tram stop oposite the hotel and luggage room to keep your bags after check out.

A great stay.

I was unnecessarily dubious after reading the reviews. However the staff were helpful and the room was clean and spacious with a balcony and a fridge.
The breakfast was fresh and tasty and overall great value for money.
Location wise you have a tram stop at the front door with a mainline station along with a great selection of eateries and bars a short walk away.
A great stay.
