Disaster, Not safe, Dirty Do not book
Very disappointing and unsafe stay
Our stay at Hotel Residence Select in Prague was a terrible experience. We booked for two nights, but the room was in very poor condition. The toilet seat was broken, the shower was damaged, the room was dirty, and there were wet patches all over the ceiling, which was very concerning.
I informed the staff about these issues as soon as I noticed them, but they did not seem bothered at all. Communication was extremely difficult as the staff did not understand or did not want to understand English, and no effort was made to help or resolve the problems.
The worst part happened on the day of departure. While I was taking a shower, the shower holder fell and cut my toe deeply. I was bleeding heavily and in pain. My cousin went to reception to ask for first aid, but there was no first aid available, and again the receptionist did not understand or offer any help.
Due to the injury and the hotel’s lack of care, I had to end my holiday early as I was unable to continue exploring because of the pain.
Overall, the hotel is poorly maintained, unclean, and unsafe, with very unhelpful staff. I would not recommend this hotel and do not believe it meets acceptable standards.

Had bad experiences each time talking to reception, AC and the fan didn’t work. I would never recommend this place to anybody

Don't book this hotel
Where do I start on this so called hotel.
Firstly before you attempt to book at this hotel. Please consider the following.
I wouldn't allow homeless people to occupy this hotel. Filthy rooms that have never been cleaned for weeks. The smell in the rooms was disgusting. Smelt like the sewers had collapsed
The first impression of the hotel. Was when we arrived earlier. My daughter visited the toilet which was in the basement. No toilet paper and the smell was unbearable.
The receptionist was very rude and couldn't be bothered with us arriving early.
When we finally got our rooms keys at around 4pm what a shock. talk about a doss house is an understatement. the bathroom was dirty & was covered in dust.
The crockery in the so called Kitchenette had not been cleaned.
Grease all over the frying pans. Fresh stains in the cups & spoons.
We couldn't get the TV to turn on.
But the smell was the worse thing. unbearable as I mention earlier.
I went to reception to complain. And all the receptionist said was use the air freshener the she gave me.
Surprise this airfeshener never touched the sides with the smell.
After complaining regarding the room. The receptionist finally phoned her manager.
After about half an hour. We were given another room on the third floor.
What a shock this room was worse than the first room. When checking the bedding we found poo and pee stains all over the Matteress's. Again the smell was as bad as the first room.
The lock to the second room door was faulty. It wouldn't lock properly
When reading the latest trip advisor comment regarding this hotel in (August 2025).the same comments regarding the filthy rooms. but worse was the same poo stains on the Matteress's that were present in the room we given
This was the last straw. We informed the receptionist at 9pm we were leaving the hotel.
We found a far superior hotel down the street for roughly the same price.
So please be warned that this isn't a hotel. But a doss house

Too bad for the attitude of the receptionist girl! Arrive in the morning on 15/12/25. RUDE!
The rudeness, the little empathy and the annoyed attitude of the receptionist girl (morning of 15/12/25) unfortunately made a structure comfortable and central enough to advise against. His way of doing things has never changed during the 4 days of my stay. I hope the owner reads this report which is detrimental to his business. As for the rest

Shockingly dirty hotel
Staff are lovely but your rooms are dirty! No masking around the fact the whole hotel needs a good scrub from top to bottom new mattresses new floors new paint new bedding it really is disgusting. I would suggest people bring their own bedding with them if they can or at least a sheet it’s just appalling the hygiene you really need to sort it out.
The breakfast is very basic I wouldn’t bother and I’m quite annoyed that hotels do not concentrate on their cleanliness. How do you honestly expect people to deal with dirty bedrooms?
