Wonderful retreat away from the crowds

I’ve just returned from a 7 day trip to Prague and Vienna, sandwiched by flying in and out of Prague. I didn’t my last night here at Pension Filipe and it was perfect to recover from the demands of endless baroque palaces, gothic churches and all the art and culture of these two great cities. The guesthouse is up above the city, perfect escape from the 25 degree heat that weekend and most of all the boards of tourists that completely blanket Prague centre. I had the best room, large and airy with a big terrace balcony with fantastic views. A 5 minute walk to the Kinsky Gardens and hills and shady walks offering spectacular panoramic views. Great breakfast in a conservatory in the garden. All at a very very reasonable price, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Pension Felipe for restoring me at the end of my trip!

A decent place to stay

The inn's room was a bit old, but I slept very well there. There was a fridge in the room. The breakfast was really good and breakfast was eaten on the light-covered terrace. In the end, the location was a bit problematic, when a person coming from the plains didn't realize the effort behind walking to the old town of Prague and back in the end. The inn is so much higher up from the river bank that you would get tired in the heat coming back up. However, we walked it several times over the course of a couple of days. It would have been better to take a taxi. There was a parking space for the car, but it was really narrow and you had to drive straight into the box from the street. When leaving, the other had to stand on the side of the street to follow the traffic so as not to reverse in front of anyone.

Great little B&B on a quiet hill 10 min from metro

Very cozy place away from the madness of Charles Bridge and the tourist "highway".
I stayed with 2 kids in room 3 which was in the loft area with many skylights at eye level, nice view.
My boys loved the raised platform for their beds, kind of like a giant bunk bed.
Very nice garden with pergolas and seating area.
Last night I stayed alone without the kids and the receptionist automatically gave me discount on the room, very classy.
Free parking.
On bus line 191 from airport to metro Andel.

Worth staying!

Quiet and yet easily accessible from the town center. We enjoyed the walk if you are a walker. You can walk through Petri and to the old town then thru Karluv Most to the new town. Accessible also by bus. The staff are great and accommodating - Peter is just a wonderful student staff.

Really nice pension

Very nice room, staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location, easy to go to the center, as well as have nice walk before breakfast. Breakfast was also nice, however, there isn't kitchen, so we couldn't have a toast or eggs.
