Likely the best accommodation in Antuco
- Opened in 2013, only 5 rooms.
- Quiet location, but wooden construction could cause noises from neighboring rooms (we were the only guests).
- Moderate room size with two comfortable beds, bathroom with tub/shower, small balcony.
- Free WLAN with acceptable speed.
- Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant on the same premises. From outside the restaurant looks like an old barn, but the inside is very nice, decorated with a lot of old things (we disrespectfully call them "pioneer junk").
- Breakfast was basic with bread, cheese, meat, marmalade, tea, coffee.
- Dinner was good.
- Many "dos", "don'ts" and "recommendations" (too many to read).
- Free parking under the rooms; access to the rooms on the first floor is a bit cumbersome via a long ramp on the other side of the building.
- Payment in USD without IVA was not possible.

Lousy place
For trip advisor:
This place is presented as a hotel and charges as such, but it is far from it. We occupy its total capacity of 5 rooms for 2 weeks. The first days, there was no heating and the rooms were extremely cold. Breakfast, supposedly included, is served at 100 meters, forcing you to go outside to access this service, and also, it is always the same. One day we ordered eggs as a different option and were charged as an extra.
During those two weeks, there were 3 days when we did not occupy the hotel, we gave advance notice, and we were still charged as if we had been there. In short, it's a lousy place, one of the worst I've ever been to, with terrible attention.
The day before we left, Mr. Carlos, the husband of the hotel owner, entered the lobby without knocking on the door, which he usually does, invading the privacy of guests at all times, and pressured us to pay immediately, instead of waiting for check-out as in any normal hotel.
In short, terrible attention and a place that I do not recommend and to which I will never return.

Good location to access the National Park Laja
Beautiful view from our room and the location was perfect to access the National Park of Laja.
On Bookings.com it listed there is restaurant available. However, it wasn't until you get there that you find out that you have to tell them ahead of time that you want to eat at the restaurant. Otherwise, it is not open. We got there late in the afternoon. All the restaurants were already closed. So, we had to drive around to find a market to get some food. That was not fun.
The breakfast was beautiful but if you have allergies make sure to inform them ahead of time. The set breakfast was yogurt, granola cereal, jam, butter, ham, cheese, bread, fruit. I am allergic to dairy products and gluten. So, I had nothing to eat.
If you want eggs, they charge extra.
Note: From the pictures, it looks like the lodge is in a secluded area with just nature surrounding you. Not true. The lodge is right off of the main road and you can hear road traffic. Not loud but definitely not as portrayed in the photos.

Ni fu ni mu...
El Hotel en sí es agradable en un buen paisaje,,,Carece de TV en habitaciones aludiendo a que la gente va a desconectarse ,,pero es un Hotel y uno va en viaje de negocios no de descanso,,,fallas con el aire acondicionado inexcusable con 0 grado de temperatura,,la caldera deja de funcionar a eso de 00:00 Hrs...el Restaurant no funciona todo el tiempo.....

Pésima experiencia- Frío y malas respuestas
Llegamos a Antuco tarde tras un largo día de viaje, y al llegar al Hotel la única habitación disponible era la Suit de Lujo. Siendo nuestros últimos días de vacaciones la tomamos para regalonearnos, pero debo decir que fue el peor lugar y más caro de todas nuestras vacaciones por el sur de Chile.
La primera noche pasamos mucho frío, ya que la gran habitación nunca logró temperarse con el único radiador que tenía. Se nos negó el acceso al climatizador que podría haber ayudado a temperar la habitación que llevaba 2 días sin temperar. Al día siguiente cuando solicitamos una solución ante este tema para quedarnos la 2da noche, se nos explico que "había sido responsabilidad nuestra que la habitación estuviera helada por no haber avisado antes". Debo decir que ni siquiera con la calefacción prendida TODA la noche se llego a temperar esa gran habitación.
Luego tras lograr que nos entregaran el control del climatizador, el que encendimos para lograr temperar la habitación que aún un día después no se temperaba, nos encontramos con la sorpresa al retornar de nuestro día en la nieve que este había sido retirado, y que no teníamos derecho a este ya que la calefacción había estado encendida todo el día (La habitación de LUJO, aún seguía congelada). De manera "excepcional" se nos entrego el control finalmente y se nos agrego una frazada en la cama, pero lamentablemente esto no fue suficiente y volvimos a pasar frío durante la noche.
Se nos justifico constantemente que todo era por ser un "Eco Hotel" una justificación poco valida ya que no por esos sus huespedes deben pasar frío. Si quieren una habitación que se tempere facil y rápido no deberían tener habitaciones tan grande, poner ventanales termo panel o tomar otras medidas de conservación del calor, pero NO negarle a sus huespedes el acceso a la calefacción en días de extremo frío.
Lo peor fuera del frio fueron las varias respuestas en que toda la responsabilidad recae en nosotros y en la justificación de ser un Eco Hotel. Lamentamos haber tomado esta opción en nuestros últimos dias de vacaciones.
