Very helpful service
This hotel is located quite close to the bus station (only about a 10 minute walk), and a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of La Serena.
The staff were very helpful there - I asked to have some laundry done the night before we were to check out (leaving it a bit late, I know). The staff who did laundry weren't available until the next day. So one of the staff members let me use the washing machine myself, and then they let me hang up the washing on a roof top area they use for hotel laundry. I thought this was very accommodating of them. And I was surprised they didn't charge me anything to use the machine! I don't think this is a standard service they provide, but they seemed very keen to ensure I could get my washing done before we left.
The apartments themselves are well set up. The include a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, electric jug, and two hot plates. In the kitchen cupboards there is cutlery, plates, a chopping board, a frying pan and a pot. So you can self-cater.
We did find that the wifi signal in our room was fairly weak.
The hotel entrance has a locked gate. You need to buzz to be let inside, but staff are always around to let you in promptly. There was a speaker for the buzzer outside our room, which we could hear from our room when people were buzzing to be let in. But this wasn't really a problem for us, as other people were not coming or going late at night.
Hotel keys have to be left at the front desk when you leave for the day.
Breakfast is OK. The one time I had breakfast it included cheese, ham, toast, butter, marmalade, a small packet of cookies, a juice, and tea or coffee.
The staff were happy to let us store our luggage there for an afternoon after we had checked out.

Not recommended for business trip.
Worst of all, my credit card was not accepted (all other hotels in Chile have accepted the same credit card), even at the reception they tried several times. Then, I was asked to pay cash, what I did, and they refused to give me a bill with my name on it. This is not acceptable. The complete process took one hour.
The room was ok, it was clean, but the walls are not well contructed: I could hear the persons from the neighbouring room past 10 pm. Furthermore, there was a window in the room with no curtains, which let the light shine inside. This light is an autmatic one, which has a motion detection device. Very nasty when I fell asleep and it happened.
For the breakfast, it was at the very lower edge of being acceptable. "White coffee" is a hot milk with coffee-powder, and even the rest was not reaching the lower threshold of international standard.
At least, most of the personal was friendly.
Lession is clear: for a business trip definitely a no-go.

Good
It was a relaxing stay here. The place is clean, calm, the room and beds were really confortable. Nice breakfast, working Internet, and the hosts were friendly. It's nicely located and not far from the big mall.

Great location to the mall, bus station and downtown center
Perfect location, very centralized. 10 minutes walk from the bus station and mall. And about 10 minutes walk to the main square.
Quiet neighborhood. Opposite the stadium, however, it was still fairly quiet with a football match on.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good service. Glad I booked this hotel

Buen lugar, buena atención
Está ubicado a 5 minutos del terminal de buses, frente al estadio La Portada. Habitación cómoda, cocina integrada, incluye aparatos de cocina. Televisión por cable y radio. La limpieza de la habitación muy buena, con cambio de toallas de baño. Pequeño balcón. La atención bastante buena, de hecho tuvimos un problema con la reserva la cual fue solucionada rápida y satisfactoriamente por la persona que estaba en recepción. El desayuno (incluido) simple pero bueno. No logré observar acceso habilitado para personas con discapacidad (por lo menos donde servían el desayuno no había). Estacionamiento en la parte frontal (poco espacio).
