Two things made this place a solid choice for us. First, the location is amazing - a few blocks from the lake, and very close to the downtown restaurants, etc. Second, Nahir (who worked there and greeted us) was incredibly kind and helpful - she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and to assist in every way she could.
The place itself is quite rustic - we were there in late fall and it was a bit hard to stay warm in the cabin. At night it was okay, but in the afternoons we were chilly. The amenities (sheets, towels, etc) also fit into the rustic category.

Bad experience.

The worst place I've been in my 40 years of traveling...books room with three beds and private bathroom...were two beds and a mattress on the floor...that when I put it there was no access to the bathroom...The owner very ill educated...cancelled our reservation 3 hours before our arrival...three large women who at 23 h had no place to go.. Everything was spoken 3 weeks in advance. and paid the deposit as he asked us....In the afternoon we had to stay there...the photos do not correspond at all to the place...a very old house.and .that when walking creaked the whole floor...you could hear everything....and worse the character of the owner. He wouldn't give us a receipt for the payment.

Agradezco que se haya tomado el tiempo de compartir su experiencia, aunque me sorprende enormemente su relato, ya que no concuerda con los hechos sucedidos.
Es importante aclarar para otros viajeros que, debido a un error interno en la gestión de la reserva, procedí a realizar la devolución total de su dinero inmediatamente antes de su llegada. A pesar de haber cancelado su reserva y haberle ofrecido personalmente el traslado y gestión de alojamiento en otro hostal de mayor categoría sin coste adicional para usted, decidieron voluntariamente quedarse en nuestro hostal.
Lamentamos que el alojamiento no fuera de su agrado. Trabajamos constantemente en el mantenimiento de nuestra infraestructura colonial. Respecto a la atención, siempre buscamos ofrecer un trato cordial y lamentamos si hubo un malentendido en la comunicación.
Para nosotros, la satisfacción de nuestros huéspedes es lo más importante, por lo que siempre buscamos soluciones proactivas ante cualquier inconveniente.

Charm, comfort and warmth in Pucón”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We stayed at La Maison de Pucón and the experience was excellent. The hostel is a very cozy cabin, with its own bathroom and all the necessary amenities to rest well. Etienne, the owner, was very friendly throughout our stay: he gave us recommendations to tour the village and also shared very interesting local stories that made the visit even more special.
A place with charm and hospitality, highly recommended for those who want to enjoy Pucón.

nice location, not recommended for other reasons

The location is excellent. Its central but in a quiet street. Its what i would call pokey but others might say cozy. The mattress in my room was really uncomfortable. The floorboards were really creaky so upstairs occupants coming back later than us or getting up earlier than us seemed really noisy. The place was not very clean and the kitchen was cramped and stale smelling. There weren't enough toilets downstairs as i had to wait to use the bathroom on several occasions. It was peak season so may be less crowded off peak. There was an outside loo but that definitely wasn't clean. There is a garden area but if you sit out it means you are sitting on top of the washing line. The owner is nice enough and some might say friendly but i found him intrusive and he had many rules you much abide by.

Great hostal in Pucon

We had a 5 day stay at the hostal la maison . It feels like home. Etienne was super kind and attentive. He gives good advice on what to do nearby. There is a pleasant garden and a well-equipped kitchen. There are also 3 cats ‍⬛including 1 who can be petted. The hostel is right in the center, among the restaurants. Very very calm.
