Good cost benefit
In terms of location is excellent, very close to caracoles street, the restaurants, the currency exchanges and the travel agencies. It is a simple accommodation, but very elegant. Helena received us very well, attentive and gave us several tips on good and cheap restaurants. Wi-fi doesn't take that well. The kitchen space is good.
Suggest: a receptionist at least during the day and a place to leave your bags (before check-in or after check-out).
Payment is only in cash. They don't accept card.

Lots of noise
You hear the noise of the next rooms as if they were with you. Unfortunately there is a bar in front that has loud music and entertainment until 2 am. Taking into account that in San Pedro the tours leave at 5 am, the rest is necessary to have the energy that activities require.

Not very good
The bedroom was not good, we had problems with the hot water - essencial in Atacama - but the responsible lady helped us. Somethimes she wasn't in a good mood. The wi fi was working properly. Sometimes we had to leave the hostel very early and she used leave some food for breakfast, this was very kind. She also lent us towels to take to Bolívia.

Awful staff
The hostel itself is ok. Confortable, simple and with a nice location. But the staff and reception are rude and don't care about the travellers. 3 out of 4 nights we had a cold shower and the women didn't care about it(the problem was easy to solve). They were always with a bad humored face, always asking for our money(never explained when it should be paid) and almost kicked us because we were talking at 22:30(just talking...). Besides, the lady refuse to land a towel when there were many avaible. I wouldn't recommend to anyone, in San Pedro there are much better places for the same amount of money.

Cold in every possible way
Not being able to cross the Bolivian border I had to extend my stay in San Pedro de atacama and found a cheap bed in the dormitory of this hostel. Beds are ok but considering that the dorm is in the shade the whole day the place actually becomes a fridge at 4 pm ( i stayed in other hostels in the City and They at least provide extra blankets). The kitchen is tiny and never fully available and within a few days I couldn't cook as it ran out of gas twice ( it took her two hours to mind changing it as her favorite soap opera was on TV ) and the minute she changed it she ran to make French fries ( and after waiting two hours to boil water for my soup I loved being infested by the smell of boiling oil ) so I had to wait another 30 mns to be able to eat.
I was lucky enough to have some lukewarm water for one of my showers but she seemed to find it funny when I wasn't able to shower at all. I even suspect her to switch off the gas on purpose depending on her current mood. After all she was doing it while I was cooking ! Caught her talking bad about guests in Spanish so after that she and her buddies would only speak in another language/ dialect around me. No mention of any breakfast. I moved to another hostel quite rapidly. If you can't host don't host !
