Hotel Aurora se nachází v Sunčané Uvale, pouhých 50 metrů od moře a pláže. Do centra Malého Lošinje se dostanete pěšky za 20 minut. Aurora nabízí wellness a lázeňské centrum s několika bazény, řadu kosmetických procedur, fitness centrum a restauraci.

Wonderful, we would stay right back
I have to be honest: I had some prejudices about this structure, because although aware of the great location I feared it was a huge "casermon" with canteen type catering, full of groups of noisy tourists who move by coach.
But it was not so.
Let me explain.
Room with sea view on the top floor, with a beautiful view (see photo) despite some reviews (the trees below, nature... but are not beautiful things??); very large structure frequented by groups of tourists (especially Germans and Austrians) but in general, despite many people, characterized by education and respect for rest times.
Finally a hotel where the room doors don't slam!
Sumptuous breakfast with immense offer, there really was everything and more.
At dinner we always ate out (we opted for the bed and breakfast formula), in any case if we wanted to dine at the hotel (buffet) we would have spent € 23 per head excluding drinks.
Some evenings in the outdoor bar there was a bit of musical animation but at 11 pm it was over, after which absolute silence.
Staff always friendly and helpful, some even spoke Italian.
Cons: small pool and practically inaccessible because already in the early morning the sunbeds were occupied by people who placed their towels there and then left (and this also happened on the beach below), I think this practice should be banned especially in such small pools.
True that the carpet in the corridors of the floors would need a deep clean, too bad because among so many beautiful things it is really a note out of tune!
In any case, I attribute 5 bullets because the way we experience holidays in Croatia (we move all the time, we see more beaches and places per day) these aspects, although negative, have not affected us, but I think it would be appropriate to do something about it.

Tuttavia, prendiamo atto delle problematiche da lei segnalate. La questione dei lettini in piscina è certamente una pratica che crea disagio e ci scusiamo per l'inconveniente. Sebbene non possiamo intervenire direttamente sulle abitudini degli ospiti, ci impegneremo a comunicare chiaramente le nostre politiche riguardo all'uso degli spazi comuni. Per quanto riguarda la moquette nei corridoi, la informiamo che il nostro team di pulizia è sempre al lavoro per mantenere gli standard di igiene, ma il suo feedback sarà sicuramente utile per migliorare ulteriormente.
Siamo felici che, nonostante questi aspetti, abbia comunque apprezzato la sua soggiorno e ci auguriamo di poterla accogliere nuovamente al Hotel Aurora.

A lot of steps down to a very small beach that seems to be taken over by locals it was difficult to get a bed.
There is a very good restaurant overlooking the beach , good staff & excellent food !
We Wouldn’t return as it is a very basic hotel. No kettle or tea & coffee in the room and the bar closes at 11pm

One star maybe too many
Structure rather old and exaggeratedly large. The excessive number of rooms impacts on the quality of the services, in particular on the catering that is organized as a buffet in a sort of Dante's bolgia. The room did not seem to me then up to a 4-star, as well as the wellness area in need of a radical renovation. Interesting instead the location and courteous reception service.

YOU DO NOT OWN THE BEACH!!!
This is not a review for the hotel but their beach hogging. You cannot use the beach with your towel because it's full of hotel sunbeds, you also cannot rent a sunbed cause they are reserved for someone who doesn't rock up to the beach before noon... hotel does not own the beach and this is unacceptable!!! I wanted to rent the sunbed but 8 sunbeds were free but reserved... disgusting!!!!

Terrible hotel, wonderful location
The only positive aspect of this property is its location, which, however, can easily be reached by bike from many other hotels in the area (the cycle path takes you directly into the city center in just a few minutes). Everything else was utterly disappointing.
Despite having paid an extra €50 for early check-in, we were told upon arrival that the room was not ready. We were invited to have lunch instead, spending another €65 while waiting — and yet, at check-out, they still charged us for the early check-in that never actually happened.
The room itself was never truly cleaned, not on the first day nor on the following ones. It was dirty from the start, and housekeeping merely folded the used towels and placed them on top of our clothes left on the armchair, without providing fresh linens or proper cleaning. The overall hygiene was appalling: a crusty remote control, human secretions in the shower, dust, dirt and trash under the bed, and even cockroaches.
The property resembles a rundown barracks: filthy, with extremely poor-quality food. Every meal felt like a struggle — you had to chase the waiters to get refills, all while fending off other guests crowding around the buffet. Waiters would even remove your plate while you were still eating.
To make matters worse, the place was infested with wasps. As someone allergic, it was extremely stressful to avoid a serious reaction, since they were present all over the dining room and terrace. Clearly, there is a nest nearby, but management does nothing about it.
The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, especially the short-haired blonde manager and the night guard, who mocked us when we asked for a bottle of water in the evening — telling us they could not sell us one and that we should drink from the tap instead (with no minibar available in the room).
All in all, this was without a doubt one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The location itself is beautiful, but you can enjoy it just as easily from countless other hotels in the area, which actually provide proper service and cleanliness — unlike this filthy, poorly managed establishment

We strongly encourage guests to reach out to our team immediately if there is ever an issue—we are here to help.
Your stay coincided with one of the busiest periods of the year, with the hotel operating at full capacity (over 700 guests). This can, understandably, lead to increased traffic during meal times. Nevertheless, we are continuously working to improve our buffet service and staff responsiveness.
As for your concern regarding wasps, we are aware of the seasonal presence of these insects, which is common in coastal areas during the summer months. We do monitor and take preventive measures as best we can, including regular inspections. Still, being in a natural island environment, complete control is unfortunately not always possible.
We were also sorry to hear your impression of our team. We strive to provide friendly and helpful service at all times. When the bar was closed in the evening and you requested bottled water, our staff offered an alternative—high-quality, safe, and drinkable tap water, sourced from the island of Lošinj, which we are proud to offer as a sustainable option.
