Idyllic

Our room was lovely and a fab size with a smashing seating area down a couple of steps with views for miles.
The bed was large and very comfortable.
The bathroom is beautifully done and has a very picturesque view from the loo!
The shower was lovely; hot and just what you need after a long day hiking. It’s also large enough for you to get dried in and not drip all over the place. One quick tip; unless you are very tall you’ll need to use the shower head ‘hand held’ rather than leaving it in place on the wall. Plenty of towels and a lovely little box with toiletries if you need them.
The seating area has two very comfortable chairs, a table with tea making facilities and reading lamp.
The only complaint I’ve have is the lack of plugs in the room. There’s only one plug in the bedroom area, one in the hallway and two down in the ‘lounge’ area. It was just a right pain having to plug in, unplug, plug in etc. to charge phones & camera batteries, use lamps etc. But that really is a minor thing compared to the rest of the place.
Breakfast was 60 kuna extra per person and boy! You certainly get a lot. It’s made for you at your preferred time of dining which is great. On your table there is juice, yoghurt, pancakes, boiled eggs, toasted bread with melted cheese & bacon on it, bread and salad. Then there is cereal and fruit from a central stand. Honestly I felt terrible as we don’t have a large breakfast at home. I only had a pancake and slice of toasted cheesy bread. If we’d known how much food there would be I’d have ordered 1 breakfast between us.
Our hostess was very friendly and was helpful in telling us how to get to the park and suggested routes.
FYI - no cards; payment in cash only either kuna or euro.

Just perfect!

The staff was fantastic, friendly and always looking for ways to enhance our stay and our visit to the park. They advised, ahead of our stay , where to buy the entrance tickets to the park...thank you!
They drove us to the restaurant and to the park even though they are within walking distance from the beautiful house.
The room is very cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and plenty.
We said goodbye with a big sincere hug hoping that we will see them again.
Thank you for making our this experience an unforgettable one!

Wonderful stay near Plitvice Lakes

We loved House Biba & Leona. Beautiful setting about a 15 minute walk on a quiet road from Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Breakfast was a good value. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very comfortable.

We were three friends and stayed at the B&B for one night
>>The room is spacious enough for three people, definitely did not feel cramped. The showers worked just fine and it felt great to get beck after a long walk at Plitvice lakes
>>The house and surroundings are extremely pretty!!!
>>The location is close enough to the parks, but a bit further away from the other B&B's. However as we had a car and parked near the entrance, this was not a problem.
>>The owner was super helpful with local tips like timings for the park.
Loved our stay here.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

The rooms are beautifully decorated to a high standard and are currently within the owners house. A peaceful and tranquil place to retreat after visiting the lakes. Bed really comfy, shower hot and lovely sitting area. Breakfast was a veritable feast of egg, pancakes, bread, cheese, ham, salami, salad, spreads, tea, coffee and orange juice all on your own table no buffet!! A 15 minute walk to the lakes or you could drive to the top of the road and park for free. Owner showed us a great route and explained the buses, which staff the previous afternoon couldnt be bothered to do. She also told us that at House Katarina there is a garden restaurant ...the food was so nice and well priced. All in all a lovely place to stay!
