Stellar view, comfortable room and helpful staff

The view of the karst mountain scenery from our room as well as the dining terrace is spectacular. Quiet, comfortable and a great base for exploring this stunning region. Wish we could have stayed longer. It's not right at the riverside, but an easy walk to the local ferry to the buzzy part of town.

I felt compelled to write a review due to the conflicting emotions.
The service from the staff - the ayi maid and the waiter/concierge - was absolutely first class. The room was very comfortable and had a superb view. The food was also pretty good, just don't expect much from a bacon breakfast.
However! The noise! At night the sounds of karaoke from the town bounce off the mountains and hit the hotel hard. At 6am the construction from the neighbouring hotels begins, even on a Sunday. And worse, much worse, is the owner gathering with her friends from the local government to practice line dancing and singing with an incredible loud speaker at 8am on a Sunday. Just incredibly loud.
It's a gorgeous place and lovely staff but you either have to be deaf or have the Chinese ability to just block out sound to really enjoy it.

Beautiful hotel with great staff!

We stayed here for two nights for our trip to Yangshuo to explore the draw-dropping local scenery. Can't compliment the hotel enough. Jacky, the proprietor was so helpful he arranged for a driver to pick us up from Guilin West train station and take us directly to the hotel for a very reasonable price considering its was a 90min drive.
When we arrived, even though we had booked the room on the top floor, he suggested an alternative which he thought would be better a floor below as it had nicer views and its own balcony and allowed us to have it for no extra cost.
Jacky was also so helpful answering our questions about booking activities or contacting our next hotel by phone to ensure we had all the right information to get us to our onward bus to the Lonji Rice Terraces.
The room was clean, had air con and stunning views of the surrounds. The hotel is located in a very tranquil area and you can take a 10-15min walk down to the Li river and hop on a cross river ferry that drops you off at Youngshou town itself.
A taxi back to the hotel costs only 30RMB
We had a couple of nice breakfasts here, enjoyed a few cold beers and rum while watching the sun set on the terrace and also gratefully availed of the lovely, well cleaned swimming pool after a long days cycle through the nearby Younlong river scenic park.
A really wonderful experience staying here, thanks to Jacky and all the rest of the staff who were great!

Our Favorite Hotel in China

This hotel was our favorite in our two week stay in China. Our room has a full on view of the mountains surrounding Guilin - one afternoon we just hung out in our room and enjoyed the view. The rooms are not fancy or new, but the view makes up for everything. The staff is helpful, breakfast was made to order and it was FABULOUS. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very good. It is a bit out of town, so you would need a car or a driver. Quiet and peaceful. And oh, the view!

great place !

November , so we had the hotel just for us .Bedrooms with a great view , nice and quiet.Sunny terrace to have breakfasts and lunches ( very good cooking ).A nice little boat will ferry you to the city center , into very busy town of Yangshuo .Familly run .
