Super B&B accommodation with top host
We have visited many B&Bs around the world. This one has the nicest, friendliest and warmest host we have ever met - Sidney.
Shortly after booking, Sidney gave us lots of tips and excursion options. It was easy to communicate with him via Booking or later via WhatsApp.
The accommodation has two rooms on the lower and upper floors.
Our room was on the ground floor and was lovingly furnished and decorated. The room is equipped with a TV, air conditioning and a refrigerator. The private bathroom and toilet can be reached via the small hallway.
An indoor lounge area, a shared kitchen and an outdoor area with a seating area are shared with the other guests. The kitchen is fully equipped - microwave, toaster, dishes. A coffee machine with coffee and various types of tea are also available free of charge at any time.
The accommodation is a 5-8 minute walk from a shopping street with supermarkets and bars. The Queen Emma Bridge is a 15-minute walk away.
It is also great that you can park for free right in front of the accommodation.
Breakfast is delivered personally by Sidney every morning in the form of a breakfast box. To avoid wasting food, you should let her know the evening before what you want and what you don't. For example, no sausage, prefer jam...
An airport transfer is also offered at a fair price.
This accommodation is highly recommended.

No Recommendation at all!
We had booked this accommodation for 5 days, including breakfast and sea views. The very good reviews (at booking.com) were convincing for us.
The location on the edge of Otrabanda is quite ok, and the host Sydney tries to be nice. The accommodation is very clean and the kitchen well equipped.
But that's it with the positives...
After a night at this hotel we left again. The pictures on booking.com partly do not correspond to the truth, the sea view does not exist (the wife of the host also claimed: Everywhere on Curaçao you have sea views, we should read the description correctly..., the promised safe as well as the closet did not exist.
That the private bathroom was not in or on the room, but across the hall, is also not apparent on the description.
The awesome thing, however, was the booked breakfast, which looks really delicious and fresh in the pictures at Booking.com. The truth, however, was this: In the morning after 1/2 9, the host's wife brought large boxes - one for each guest. There was nothing fresh in it except fruit, instead: 1 very hard-boiled egg (blue stained, practically cold), 2 slices of toast for home toasting, 1 packaged waffle, according to all breakfast guests much too sweet and not crispy, 1 slice of ham substitute of ghastly consistency, 1 slice of cheese, which was reasonably ok, 1 fruit yogurt, unfortunately mouldy, 1 mini pack of butter, 1 small packaged jam, far too sweet, 1 pack of orange juice from concentrate, also not really delicious, 1 banana and 1 mandarin, which were fresh and not packaged. We should cook coffee ourselves, as well as dispose of the large amount of garbage and flush it ourselves.
In all our Trips we have not experienced anything like this. Especially in Central / South America there were always freshly prepared egg dishes of your choice, often muesli and prepared, fresh fruit etc.
The reviews at booking are incomprehensible to us.
Of course, we complained to the host and made the suggestion, we pay the one night with a small surcharge and then leave.
Surprisingly, he didn't want any money. In hindsight it became clear to us that he had cancelled the Booking Referral and so we no longer have the option to rate on Booking. However, we communicated the shortcomings there. This is advertising with false images.
In addition, in our view, the price/performance ratio does not fit here at all. Just under 135 EUR/night for a supposed deluxe room without genius incl. "Delivery of miserable breakfast without coffee" - everything must be done yourself, without sea views and bathroom not in or directly at the room looks like a rip-off to us. No Recommendation from us at all!

Beautiful, well equipped property with THE most amazing host
My partner and I stayed at Turqouise B&B for four nights during our 2 week holiday to Curaçao.
The location was perfect for exploring Otrabanda, Punda and Pietermaii. The Emma Bridge was around a 15 minute walk away and local bars and restaurants are all within walking distance.
We had one of the standard rooms on the ground floor with a separate WC and shower. Our room was well equipped with A/C, a safe, fridge, beach bag, mosquito spray and complimentary toiletries. The room was clean, we had plenty of towels and the bed was really comfortable.
Whilst the property is in a safe neighbourhood we had the added comfort of an intruder alarm which was set when we were in the property as well as when out for the day.
The lounge and kitchen were shared with other guests and complimentary (and good quality) tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. There was a beautiful courtyard at the rear of the property where we enjoyed breakfast al fresco every morning. The pattern from the colourful steps in Otrabanda has been replicated on the walls of the courtyard which makes it a colourful, vibrant and welcoming space. The outdoor wooden furniture was built by the host. During our stay we met a lovely young couple from Argentina.
Turquoise had everything we needed and there were some lovely personal touches in the design and decoration which made it feel welcoming and homely.
Breakfast was delivered to the property by our host, Sidney, every morning and comprised a good selection of boiled eggs, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses, fruit, pastries, jams and juices. Any dietary requirements or particular likes/dislikes were catered for. Sidney would then spend time talking to all the guests and helping them to plan their day.
It would be remiss of any review not to mention the host, Sidney. He was without doubt the most friendly, welcoming, caring, thoughtful, considerate, compassionate and attentive host you will ever meet. We arranged a transfer from the airport at the time of booking and Sidney picked us up and gave us a comprehensive tour of the local area and Otrabanda. He provided some great recommendations and suggestions, local tips and insights about where to visit and what to do. On our first day he went above and beyond in helping us to resolve a serious issue with our car rental by accompanying us to their offices and sought to address the issue with the manager directly on our behalf. Our morning chats helped us to decide what to see and do and Sidney was contactable by WhatsApp throughout the day to answer any questions. Throughout our stay Sidney could not have been more helpful and is the model host. Lastly, it was my birthday during our stay which my partner mentioned in conversation about a dinner reservation. Sidney bought a selection of beautiful cakes for all the guests which was a really lovely personal touch.
My partner and I would highly recommend staying at Turqoise. The B&B is in a perfect location with all the facilities you need and with the best host you will ever meet!

Un très agréable séjour !
L’endroit est semble magique. Chambre spacieuse et salle de bain très propre. Petite arrière cours sympathique pour prendre le café. Petit déjeuner copieux et ce qui fait le charme Sidney le propriétaire est sympa n’hésitez pas à lui demander des conseils ! Nous avons adorés notre séjour. A recommander
